October 26th, 2024 - Day Twenty-Six - Week Four 🎗️ Breast Cancer Awareness Month ✨ Make a Difference Day is celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday of October and promotes community service and volunteerism. If you have ever wondered if your actions can make a difference, the answer is yes. And if you have wondered where to start, the answer will always be today. There is tremendous value in making a difference, especially in providing comfort and resources for others. Au Naturel Solutions Inc. is making a meaningful impact as a mission-driven business, and encourages us to come together to volunteer, raise funds, donate, offer support, and learn about the most urgent needs of our community. One of the ways that directly impacts our breast cancer community is to support underserved populations by donating a breast prosthesis to women that need it the most. 🌺The Comfort 'n' Confidence™ external breast prosthesis prioritizes comfort with sustainability in offering women an all-natural, eco-conscious, hypoallergenic, breathable, soft, flexible, made-in-Canada solution during recovery 🩷 Help make recovery more comfortable and less intrusive for breast cancer survivors having had a lumpectomy or mastectomy. Join PMI Carolina this month - October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to honor the strength of survivors, support those currently fighting, and remember those we’ve lost. Breast cancer impacts individuals of all genders, races, and backgrounds, making it essential to guarantee that everyone has access to education, screenings, and treatment. We encourage our community to make a meaningful impact. Consider one or more of the following ideas: 1. Educate Yourself and Others: Learn about the risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection. Share this knowledge within your community to raise awareness. Learn More at Komen.Org: https://shorturl.at/FMzQ6 2. Support Local Organizations: Donate time or money to local breast cancer charities and support groups. These organizations often provide critical services and resources to those in need. 3. Participate in Fundraising Events: Join or organize events such as charity runs, bake sales, or silent auctions to raise funds for breast cancer research and patient support services. 4. Advocate for Inclusive Healthcare: Promote policies that ensure equitable access to healthcare services, including mammograms and other screenings, for all individuals. 5. Offer Emotional Support: Reach out to friends, family members, or colleagues who are affected by breast cancer. Sometimes, a simple conversation or gesture can make a significant difference in someone's life. #makeadifference #breastcancerawarenessmonth #volunteerism #leadership #pmicarolina

Every July, we raise awareness about sarcoma and bone cancer. Sarcoma is a rare cancer affecting soft tissues, while bone cancer targets the bones. Both have a significant impact on individuals and families, making awareness crucial. 🎗️ Sarcoma and bone cancer can affect all ages, including children. Recognizing symptoms like persistent pain, swelling, lumps, fractures with minimal trauma, and unexplained weight loss is vital. If you or someone you know has these symptoms, consult a healthcare professional. Supporting those affected is key. Organizations and advocacy groups provide resources, support networks, and funding for research. By fundraising, volunteering, or sharing information, we can make a positive impact. Let's spread the word about Sarcoma and Bone Cancer Awareness Month. By raising awareness and supporting research, we can inspire hope and make a difference. 💜🤗 Learn more and donate at jsf.org.au/donate 💜 #sarcoma #sarcomaawarenessmonth #jsf #jennysourisfoundation #awareness #love #care #kindness #compassion #givehope #embracinghope #embracehopetogether #together #foundation #charity #dogood #donate #sydney #australia

This time next week, I and the team (when nearly all of them), at Douglas Jackson will be joining Spin on the Square* and WE NEED YOUR HELP to raise even more money for Children with Cancer UK 🧡💜, because if we can we should. (the pictures were taken from a similar event last year.) We are delighted to be supporting Dawn & Sharon – aka the LEJoG Sisters – and help support them in this fundraising event. Myself, Holly Beeston, John Montgomery, Perry Fletcher, Mark Larner, Robin Wain will join Ian Covey and lots of other big-hearted bikers to donate 1 hour of our time on Wednesday 1st May to jump on a spin bike on Lichfield's Market Square, Visit Lichfield Lichfield District Council so that we can collectively spin the length of the country in a day. Spin on the Square – and all of the LEJoG Sisters fundraising – is inspired by the memory of Dawn’s son, Christopher, who died of an inoperable brain tumour at the tender age of six. Thankfully brain tumours in children are relatively rare – even so, every month in the UK more than 30 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Turning their lives completely upside down. Children with Cancer UK are there for them. Providing essential support to families and funding the research needed to find kinder, more effective treatments. It’s thanks, in part, to Children with Cancer UK’s work over the past 35 years, advances of in detection, treatment and care mean that 74% of children with brain tumours now survive for 5 years or more. But there’s so much more to do. If you can help and support this cause please do. Raising Awareness for #pancreaticcancer : A Crucial Fight @mordiofficial talk about the importance of raising awareness for pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of cancer. He discusses how early detection is a challenge due to the lack of symptoms in the early stages, and how thousands of lives are affected each year, yet awareness and funding for research remain critically low. We urge everyone to learn the signs, such as unexplained weight loss, persistent stomach pain, back pain, and jointiness, and to advocate for those fighting this disease. Together, we can help improve early detection, support patients and families, and fund life-saving research. We also mention our involvement in the ‘Refugees Walking’ initiative to raise awareness and funds for charities. #PancreaticCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #LifeSavingResearch #AdvocateForPatients #RefugeesWalkingForACause #tworefugeeswalking #health
