How to attract top performers to the project: my recent story
I want to share with you a secret way to attract strategic thinkers, business consultants, and great performers to your team.
You don't just need additional hands. You want someone to take a task, slice it into pieces, build a well-structured plan, and execute it. So wanted we for our project — Second Opinion in Oncology.
This is how we attracted those shooting stars:
Recently, we visited Mannheim Business School, and it was a super exciting event — a Master Business Project, or MBP.
The event was super exciting:
→ We pitched our strategic targets. Uwe Zell and I talked about our 'Second Opinion in Oncology' project.
→ Then, six groups of MBA students, one after another, presented their strategic approaches to achieving those targets.
→ The student teams provided their ranking and preference for companies to work with.
→ We, in our turn, provided feedback and ranking to teams with our preferences.
→ After that, the best matching pairs are done.
Among us were top brands like Nike and some other companies pitching to students.
These MBA students are experienced top professionals and managers with a strong track record, a hunger for achievement, and ambitions for the future.
Believe me, these six presentations were top-notch. I could see in each of them a strong analytical analysis, structured strategic approach, and super engagement to achieve our strategic targets.
After all, we had a match, and I cannot think of any more suitable consultant team to support us.
As my partner Uwe said: "They expressed a strong desire to work on challenges that have a real impact, rather than solely pursuing financial or other motives. This mindset resonates deeply with us, as we believe it is essential for building a better future".
With this team, we will work the whole summer to achieve our targets and gain traction with Second Opinion by VISION-MED GmbH.
It is the best time to onboard such a strong MBA team to our venture. Who knows, maybe with some of them, our journey will continue after the summer MBP work period.
The MBA strategic consultant team is not visible in the picture.
I will share a picture with them in one of my next posts ;)
Thanks to Mannheim Business School for allowing us to participate in MBP projects.
Everyone, wish us luck!
