If you get to a final meeting with a VC firm, you should know your company well. Does that mean you'll have answers for every single question that comes your way? No... but you should be able to talk intelligently about all parts of your business. Sometimes it's okay if you don't have a specific answer to their very detailed question. For example... if they say what's day 30 retention, you might not have that statistic right off the top of your head. But you should be able to speak to the quality of your product and its ability to engage with consumers on some level. You should have some data point or some story to be able to share that at least gives you an opportunity to talk to them about what they're curious about. And if you really don’t know the answer, it’s okay to say, “I don’t have that right now, but I can get it to you in my follow up.” The goal in a final meeting isn’t to have every answer that gets thrown at you, it’s to show you understand your business deeply. That's what VCs are looking for. I dropped a full episode on VC meetings today, check it out - https://lnkd.in/dureqG3s
