Bianca had been struggling with terrible PMS and period cramps for years, and within the last year her typical symptoms were starting to increase and 'pile on'. She felt more consistent bloating and stubborn weight gain that wouldn't budge even with increased exercise, and her mood shifts were lasting longer and longer to where she didn't feel herself for at least 2 weeks out of the month, she'd start to feel better and then boom, rinse and repeat. Her period was becoming more irregular and her usual mild cramps had really become an issue with significant cramps and heavier bleeding laying her low for at least 2-3 days a month. Her energy was low and her sleep didn't feel restful. She felt frustrated and was running out of options. She had been trying to eat well, exercise more, and supplement her diet but she was feeling like she kept taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. She just didn't feel like herself. After her initial month of treatments at FAW, she is feeling much more positive, with her moods feeling uplifted and her energy picking up. She has noticed her PMS symptoms are reducing and is feeling much less pain! We are so happy for you Bianca and we are excited to see more progress over the next few months of treatment. Visiting the dentist can be anxiety-provoking for many, but it’s a key step in caring for both your oral and mental health. Gum disease and oral infections can elevate stress hormones like cortisol, which can affect your mood and anxiety. A healthy mouth = a healthier mind. #mentalhealth #emdrtherapy #traumahealing #counselingservices #selfcare #therapyworks #mentalwellness #emotionalwellness #healingjourney

At our recent How We Recover event, we asked people in recovery from eating disorders: “When things are really hard and you’re feeling stuck, how do you find a way forward?” Recovery isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about taking small, manageable steps—whether that’s committing to a meal or practicing self-compassion. These steps might feel difficult, but each one is important. Rebuilding trust with your body takes time, and while it’s challenging, it’s a necessary part of healing. You’re not alone in this process, and we’re here to support you along the way. 💜 If you’re in that place right now, remember you don’t have to do everything at once. Sometimes it helps to focus on one small thing at a time—finishing one meal, reaching out to a friend for support, or doing one kind thing for yourself. Those small actions add up. #howwerecover #onestepatatime #recoverysupport #selfcompassion #eatbreathethrive

🌿 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲! 🔥 Taking care of your mental health is just as important as caring for your physical health, especially if you have asthma! 🧘♀️🌬️ Stress and anxiety can also trigger asthma symptoms, while depression can affect how well you manage your asthma. World Asthma Day is an annual event organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) in collaboration with health care groups and asthma educators, to improve asthma awareness (its causes, symptoms, treatment, prevention measures and care) around the world. 🌏 Although almost everyone might be familiar with an inhaler and how it is being used, the actual nature and cause of the condition remains unknown by many, coupled with the fact that there are multiple types of asthma out there, Today, as we celebrate under the theme "𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐚 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬", remember to practice self-care, seek support, and talk to your healthcare provider if you are feeling overwhelmed. Your well-being matters! 💙 https://lnkd.in/eSzpM-6w #MentalHealthAwareness #WorldAsthmaDay #AsthmaManagement #SelfCare #YouMatter
