It's a wrap! 🎬 As Kate Aunaas Ingram knows, I usually need to sleep on things to properly digest them 💡 So, after the third and final day of our exhilarating yet intense kick-off for the new Trainee class had come to an end, I went home with many impressions and new memories, ready to be digested 😴 After a good night’s sleep, I want to share some bits and pieces with all of you. Hope you don’t mind 😎 I feel truly privileged to have the responsibility for our Trainee program, but it does take a village (Right, Kate?). I would therefore like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who made these three days so exciting and meaningful for both me and the new Trainees. Your contributions are deeply appreciated, and we are truly grateful for your support 🥇 I also want to highlight two highly important aspects of our organization (at least in my opinion): 🤝 Warmth and Welcome: Colleagues from all Business Areas, regardless of where the Trainees belongs, extended genuine warmth and welcome. It was inspiring to see such a unified effort to make our new trainees feel at home. I think that this should go without saying, but I’m not sure it’s always the case in this fast phased world we live in today? 🤔 🚀 Our Role in Renewable Energy: As Europe’s largest renewable energy company, we face high expectations both internally and externally 🎯 However, from my perspective, I am confident that we got this 💪 Together, from trainees to senior leaders, we are making a real difference in the world— one step at a time. 📣 Pssst! SUCCEEDING AS A SUMMER TRAINEE 3 years ago, I was working for the first time as a summer trainee. It remains one of the most exciting moment in my professional career. In the same year, I was nominated as the best summer trainee at Wärtsilä which led to be ultimately acknowledged the best summer employee of the year in Finland by Oikotie. What’s the secret? 💡 Positive Attitude: Aside completing my assigned tasks, I use to ask colleagues if they need a helping hand so as to meet the team’s goal. This is something my manager and colleagues really appreciated. Further, aside developing my hard skills, I also focused on developing soft skills. 💡 Be resolute: I participated and contributed to the strategic initiatives of the organization as well as meeting and learning from new people from other teams. 💡 Show Gratitude: I always appreciated people who came my way, no matter how little I learnt from them. Thank you means a lot to people. 💡 Mentorship: I reach out to people in the company who I believed could help me with the right guidance and assistance to advance in your career. These tips were helpful to me and I believe can they can be helpful to summer trainees in succeeding in their roles. What tips would you like to give to trainees to succeed in their roles?

🌟 Excited to share that I have successfully completed Accenture UK's "Introduction to Technology Apprenticeship" job simulation on Forage! 🚀💼 🔹 Simulation Overview: Engaged in a dynamic dialogue as a technology apprentice at Accenture, exploring the attributes of successful technology apprentices, the versatile applications of technology across industries, and cutting-edge technology streams in collaboration with a senior counterpart. 🔹 Key Tasks: 🎯 Active Participation: Demonstrated active participation through the completion of targeted multiple-choice questions, reinforcing practical comprehension of key themes discussed during the apprentice dialogue. 🎯 Problem-Solving Skills: Applied problem-solving skills by delving into a client case study and identifying shortcomings in existing processes that hindered effective business operations. 🎯 Presentation Skills: Showcased practical expertise by preparing and presenting a compelling slide deck to senior management at Accenture. This exercise not only highlighted the merit and effectiveness of the proposed cloud computing solution but also honed presentation capabilities in a real-world context, contributing to the refinement of professional skills.
