As we honor mothers this May during Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s an ideal time to reflect on the evolving role of maternal mental health... Mothers are the architects of society’s future, shaping minds with their wisdom and hearts with their love. Yet, the mental load they carry is often immense and unseen. At TheTokenSpace, we believe in empowering mothers by providing resources that foster their mental resilience and joy. This commitment extends beyond mere recognition—we are dedicated to actionable support through personalized wellness coaching that caters specifically to their needs. This Mother’s Day, let’s commit to a culture shift that places mental wellness at the forefront of our conversations about motherhood. By ensuring that mothers have strong mental health support, we not only uplift them but also model mental health as a priority for generations to come. 🎉 Celebrate this Mother's Day by giving the gift of mental wellness—a gesture that resonates deeply and uplifts holistically. #MothersDay #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #Empowerment #WellnessLeadership #TheTokenSpace

Today is World Mental Health Day, a reminder of the importance of mental health and well-being in all areas of life, including at work. Mental health isn’t just a one-day conversation, but today serves as a reminder to check in with ourselves and those around us. 🌍💜 At Sabio, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment, where everyone feels safe to talk about mental health without fear of stigma. Every action counts—whether it's taking breaks away from your desk, chatting with a colleague, or spending some time outdoors. We asked our Sabio Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) for their insights on looking after your mental well-being in the workplace and beyond. Scroll to take a look at what they said. 💬 We also have available resources to support our colleagues, including our Employee Assistance Programme, trained Mental Health First Aiders, menopause support, and well-being resources. #WorldMentalHealthDay2024 #MentalHealthAtWork #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealth #Wellbeing Mental Health Foundation

Defined by the World Health Organisation, “Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. It has intrinsic and instrumental value and is integral to our well-being.” Breaking the stigma around mental health is a cause that I'm deeply passionate about, and I believe we all have a role to play in creating an open, supportive environment for men to seek help and talk openly about their struggles. Let's continue to raise awareness, challenge outdated norms, break down barriers and stigmatisations, and do our part to foster conversations that make a difference! #mensmentalhealth #itaintweaktospeak #mentalhealthawareness #breakthestigma
Today is International Men’s Day and for us at the Port of Brisbane it’s both a day to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible men and boys in our lives as well as an opportunity to continue the important conversation around men’s mental health, particularly that it’s never ‘weak to speak’. Every day, we’re supporting our team to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and identify and deliver initiatives that improves overall employee wellbeing. That’s just one of the many reasons we’re proud to have a dedicated team participating in #Movember who are growing ‘mo’s and moving to raise awareness and support important conversations for #mentalhealth. Our Movember team leader, Harry Clarke, is incredibly passionate about the movement, sharing in this video why he knows mental health is just as important as physical health, and why we need to break the stigma. If you or someone you know is struggling, you can access free support from services including Lifeline Australia (13 11 14), R U OK?, Beyond Blue, Mental Health Pack, Movember, Headspace and more. 🌿✨ Wellness Wednesday: Strengthening Our Community for Mental Health Week 2024 ✨🌿 This Mental Health Week, let’s focus on "Strengthening Our Community". 🌟🤝 It’s a perfect time to reflect on how we can come together to support mental well-being and build a more resilient and connected community. Strengthening our community means: Fostering supportive networks where everyone feels heard and valued. Encouraging open conversations about mental health to break down stigma. Offering resources and support to those in need and ensuring no one faces challenges alone. Getting to know your local support services and connecting with them for additional help and guidance. Maintaining regular contact with friends and family, joining like-minded communities, or reconnecting with loved ones. Staying social can help you feel less alone and keep those important relationships strong. Every action, big or small, contributes to a stronger, more supportive community. Let’s unite to create spaces where everyone can thrive and feel empowered. Together, we can make a lasting impact! 💪💙 If you or someone you know needs support, you can call any of the numbers below or pop into your local Aboriginal Medical Service and yarn with one of the SEWB team members. 💪 #WellnessWednesday #MentalHealthWeek2024 #mentallyhealthypilbara

Mixed emotions this week as we reach the end of our amazing programme - Mental Health at Work - due to lack of funding. Really pleased that Mind are managing to keep going the Mental Health at Work Commitment to continue to support employers to change policy and practice and we’ll continue campaigning to encourage government and business to invest in this area. Sadly, we’ll be closing our MHAW website at the end of June, but our best Commitment resources will move to Mind’s website, so employers can still get help navigating this area. But myself and my team will be stepping away from what has been a truly fantastic 5 years. We have achieved huge things and convincingly shown that offering at scale digital support about mental health in workplaces can really support employers to achieve substantial positive and preventative action for their employees. My team has been truly incredible and inspiring, each of them contributing their passion, skills and expertise & never letting go of their vision of ensuring all UK workers can thrive at work, normalising conversations around mental health in workplaces so they can. Sophie Cox Iseult Larkin Beckett Frith Beba Parker and the amazing Andrew Berrie thank you for being fabulous! You can read a beautifully written summary of our work from Beckett - do share with a positive message of what can be achieved when investment is made in this area. Please continue to support Mind with improving workplace mental health. When times are tight, we need more support through partnership working with sectors, business and government. It can make a difference.
It's time to say goodbye 😥 Our Mental Health at Work programme is sadly coming to a close. For the last 5 years we've been championing wellbeing in workplaces of all sizes. We've shared some great stories of people's experiences of mental health at work. Here are a few of our favourite achievements: Developing the Mental Health at Work Commitment (which will continue, so you can still sign up). Championing disadvantaged voices, shining a spotlight on these stories and experiences. Creating our sister website Blue Light Together, which provided specialist support for the emergency services. And that's not all. Take a read:https://lnkd.in/eh8TDCsd

Today is World Mental Health Day 🌍! A day where we can focus on the importance of mental health and spread awareness. The WHO theme is mental health at work … one of the reasons I enjoy working at Swiss Re is because of the resources, ability and the platform to talk about topics like mental health..... at work. We have great Employee Resources Groups, even better colleagues who are passionate and get involved, and a new executive sponsor! Take time today to reflect on your mental health and check in with others. #MentalHealthMatters #EmployeeWellbeing #WorldMentalHealthDay
🧠Today on #WorldMentalHealthDay, we are reminded of the incredible resilience and potential that lie within each of us. But mental health matters every day. That's why we're actively promoting mental wellness through flexible work offerings, equal parental leave, and training mental health champions across our business who help foster open conversations to raise awareness. 🎬Watch Velina Peneva, our Group Chief Investment Officer and Executive Sponsor for Mental Health at Swiss Re, to learn about our year-round initiatives. https://ow.ly/7FBW50THLQy #MentalHealthMatters #EmployeeWellbeing
