We're finally able to share this project with you all. For the last 2 years we've worked with Karen Hamlen, Ben Hood and an incredible group of teenagers and young adults (TYAs) to create TYAR.org. An age-appropriate resource which helps to inform TYAs about Clinical Trials, Biobanking and Genomics.
The entire project was produced by HT; Logo, graphics, branding, videos, animations, photographs and website. We've had the chance to meet some amazing and inspiring TYAs throughout the project. At each stage they we're consulted to see what they'd like the resource to look like and what information it should contain.
Take a look and let us know what you think!

After 2 years working with a great group of young people Ben Hood and I are finally there. The TYAR.org websites is launched, we couldn’t have done it without young people’s help, along with an array of parents and professionals. Never underestimate what young people can do.
Massive thanks to Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Teenage Cancer Trust, Newcastle Hospitals Charity and HT

Time for a fundraising challenge. I have had great friends and close family suffer the scourge of different types of cancer. Cancer Research UK does great work trying to provide answers and craft solutions to this horrible disease. Please support where you can.
Thanks!

We’re dedicating every Thursday in October to Breast Cancer Awareness. Our team will wear Maquette pink shirts each week to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. We are also proud to support the Pink Fund, which offers financial relief to patients in treatment, covering critical non-medical costs like rent and transportation.

Watch my full TEDx talk on YouTube titled, "Seeing Life from a Different Lens" where I talk about the three steps I took to overcome the emotional trauma of surviving a rare childhood eye cancer called retinoblastoma and how you too can see the world through a different lens with love, empathy and compassion.
My Call to Action for you: Before you donate money to childhood cancer, donate your time with other survivors. I have witnessed first hand what happens when we let connections unite us and what happens when we let our differences divide us. The former is the world I want to live in.

Breast cancer awareness hits home for me in a profound way. As a 25-year-old, I watched my mother’s life be taken by breast cancer in just three short months. It was a devastating reminder of how aggressive this disease can be if not detected early.
Breast cancer is highly survivable when caught in time, and that's why awareness, early detection, and regular screenings are so important. 💗 I stand with the incredible survivors, advocates, and those still fighting this battle. Let's keep spreading the word and making a difference.
Regular Mammograms:
Mammograms are the most effective screening tool for early detection. Women aged 40 and above, or those with higher risk factors, should follow their healthcare provider’s recommendations for regular screenings.
Self-Exams:
Performing monthly breast self-exams allows you to become familiar with your body. This helps you notice any unusual changes, like lumps, swelling, or shifts in size or shape, that should be reported to a doctor.
Above all, advocating for yourself is crucial. If something feels off, trust your instincts and push for further evaluation. Early detection saves lives! 💗

We’re proud to share that Ruth Brajevich, VP, Strategic Initiatives, was recently interviewed by ABC7 Los Angeles for her powerful story and steadfast commitment to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. As a survivor herself, Ruth has been a passionate advocate for breast cancer awareness and has championed our company's annual Komen fundraising campaign for over a decade.

While #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth is coming to an end, the need for support remains year-round. Every day, kids are diagnosed with #cancer, and they need more than just awareness—they need action.
It’s never too late to make an impact. Consider how you and your #company can get involved:
1️⃣ Donate: Your contribution can fund lifesaving #research.
2️⃣ Organize a year-end fundraiser: Start now, and help finish the year strong by raising vital funds for childhood cancer research.
3️⃣ Spread the word: Reshare this post so others can join the fight.
Together, we can create a ripple that exceeds far beyond September and creates a wave of progress for kids with cancer.
Working your dream job, charity accountability and how the federal government can help Susan G. Komen create a world without breast cancer.
I was honored to join Aileen Black on Leaders and Legends on Federal News Network to discuss all of this and more. Listen below!

This November, I will be taking on the Walk 30 Miles Challenge to fundraise for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). My mother’s cancer story isn’t something I usually share, because I used to think it was not my story. Even though it has almost been two years since she was treated, I’ve recently realised that it has left a lasting impact on me. We were lucky for it to have been a fairly quick diagnosis and treatment with a huge support system of family and friends. However, I’ve recently heard stories and met people who weren’t as fortunate as we were, and so I have decided to participate in this challenge as one of many ways of healing and giving back. Please do help support to raise money for this incredible cause, every little bit counts! I’ll be updating the site with photos and progress of my journey, and getting my friends involved too, so feel free to keep checking in!
