If you saw this on Monday and have already voted THANK YOU - we're very grateful for your support. If you missed it, here's your opportunity to help get moi and the fabulous Sarah Langslow, PCC (if you don't know her - go connect - she's awesome) onto the SXSW London stage in 2025... Here's the details: 🎬 Our topic – From meh to meaningful – how tiny actions can spark a revolution of our working cultures. 🔥 Our style – a fireside chat (there won’t be any actual fires – just the vibes). Part of the decision making for conference speakers is through a public vote… and that’s where my request of you comes in… If you’d like to help us take the stage (and if you know me, you'll know a stage is my fave place to hang out #stagejoy), please can you clicky on this linky and place your vote? https://lnkd.in/e2TmG5kX I will warn you in advance, it's not a one click process and you can't search by speaker name... Once you've given your email (I’ve checked it out and you can opt out of marketing etc – so your inbox will be safe!) You can then search for 'From meh to meaningful – how tiny actions can spark a revolution of our working cultures' or type in 2998 (which it our talk's code) Then you can place your vote. The deadline for votes is the 19th December, but if you're anything like me, actions are either completed right NOW or probably never!

The WSJ recently published a piece about how conferences are coming with more frills for bonding attempts for attendees. Certainly, I've been noticing this trend perking up at fintech and banking conferences...events that go beyond dinner and golf. There's such a balancing act between strong content, networking and giving room for all the introverts to take a minute (that's me by the way). But I do love when the event allows for fresh air activities. My brain feels brighter outside of a conference room. As the WSJ story reports: "Chris McChesney attends lots of conferences as a financial-services executive. The industry doesn’t get as creative as others do, but the Boston executive says he’s seen an increase in optional activities. They include cigar rolling, cooking demonstrations and wine tasting. And he says casino nights with play money are growing in popularity as betting has gone mainstream. These events can be part of the main conference or side events sponsors throw to get attendees’ attention." I'd add I am seeing pickleball, yoga, hikes, something with animals and, when my dream is realized, a picnic. My best meeting at one of these things is clear: Going down the mountain slide with Lamine Zarrad at MX event last year. Full story: https://lnkd.in/gcEjjqvg

Hey friends I have a wee favour to ask… I’ve submitted to speak at SXSW Sydney this year with my presentation: Finding Flow: The Consciousness of Creativity. I’ve made it through the first round, but this is where I need your help. The public vote is a big factor in determining which presentations get accepted. So, could I ask you to spare 30 seconds and vote for my talk by following the 3 simple steps below? Step 1: Register to vote at: https://lnkd.in/gk2Db-59 (you’ll need to submit your email) Step 2: Once you’ve done that, type ‘creativity’ in the search box and you will see my session pop up in a list below (remember it's called ‘Finding Flow: The Consciousness of Creativity’). Step 3: Click on the ‘vote’ button (with the little heart on it) on my session image. --- That’s it, you’re done! Votes close this Thursday 25th April. Your support means a lot to me, so thank you in advance if you’re able to help out! I appreciate you!
