All you want for Christmas is to connect, on a personal level with your colleagues. After all, you spend more time with your team than with your family…. But here’s the challenge: 🎄Some team members see the team as their second family and thrive on personal connection. 🎄Others prefer to keep relationships strictly professional. 🎄As a leader, you also have to guard your own time and energy during the busiest time of the year… Do you encourage personal sharing to bring Christmas spirit or do you leave team building for the annual off site? How do you connect meaningfully without crossing boundaries? Connection and healthy boundaries are not mutually exclusive. Any mixed feelings on this? The Harpoon Christmas party was amazing this year. 🎄 Not simply because it was a great party, but it really felt like it set us up for success as a team in 2025. We kicked off the day with a strategic session, discussing our budget for 2025 and identifying the key truths we need to align with to make it happen. We tapped into our big dreams. We asked ourselves: What would our wildest dream be? (Hint: shoot for the stars to reach the top of the mountain!) Then, we focused on key attitudes we’ll need to make 2025 a success and we agreed on 6 values: 1. Growth Mindset 2. Resilience 3. Courage 4. Focus 5. Agility 6. Team Spirit These will be the foundation of our company projects for the year ahead. 💪 To bring these values to life, we painted 10 canvases, one per team member. Each painting became a collective work of art—truly a team effort. After all the creativity and brainstorming, we wrapped up the day with a fantastic dinner, exchanged Christmas gifts, and celebrated the season. 🎁 Here’s to a successful 2025! Let’s make it happen.
