Was just recording a podcast with Matt Calnan, CPA, CMA and he asked me what does a day in my life look like and the first thing I could think to say was "context switching". Today was a full mix: Review weekly cash flow statement. Update new lawyer on previous financing rounds. Work on a deck with advisors. Review a creative brief and film videos of self for IG and marketing. Meet with performance marketing team to review budget allocation for ads. Join new product fitting and review and comment on new styles for fall. Answer the pile of emails that have come in. Record podcast. Next is meeting with our benefits company representative to review changes to the plan. Lots of spreadsheets. Lots of meetings. Lots of decisions. Sometimes I feel like I am making so many decisions the big ones can get mixed in the minutia. That is when I know I need to slow down.
