For many consumers, reviews are a key factor in deciding what to buy. But the truth is that fake reviews are alarmingly common. Many of them come from “fake review brokers,” who charge businesses to generate fabricated feedback. These brokers even recruit individuals to write reviews about products they’ve never used—sometimes based on just a photo or description! 🔎What’s the solution? The upcoming EU Digital Fairness Act 💻 is a critical step forward. It aims to tackle unethical digital practices, including fake reviews and misleading influencer endorsements.
