We had a fantastic time visiting CHS Birmingham! It was great to catch up with so many colleagues, friends, and to make some new connections as we explore expanding our events across different regions in the UK. The event brought some incredible venues together under one roof, offering a fantastic opportunity to connect and collaborate. CHS Birmingham returned to the The ICC Birmingham for the fourth time on 29th October, focusing this year on a new theme, moving from ‘How to Organise an Event’ to ’How to Be an Event Organiser’. This shift places a personal emphasis on what it takes to succeed as an organiser in 2025, and we are passionate about supporting this dynamic sector. We recognise that the power of the events industry lies in its people. Therefore, finding a balance between business and personal and professional growth is key. We’re incredibly excited about the expansion of B Events—watch this space! Anita Chumber Ifraz Ahmed #CHSBirmingham #BePartOfIt

If you read our recent blog on the importance of attending EMSDC events, you know that “EMSDC’s corporate partners are committed to supplier diversity, and they are looking to make the most of their membership by building strategic business relationships, alliances, and joint ventures for success.” Events hosted by the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council, such as ROAR, the Choice Awards, and the upcoming Golf Invitationals and Clinics, facilitate connections that are valuable for both MBEs and our Corporate Partners. As such, it is vital for both parties to engage in any and all networking opportunities to reap the benefits of membership and supplier diversity. Beyond event participation, here are some additional tips for connecting with MBEs as a corporate partner: https://buff.ly/3VXvl9C #EMSDC #AreYouEngaged #MaximizeYourCertification #MBE #BusinessNetworking #SupplierDiversity #MinorityBusinessEnterprise #CorporatePartner

Good Business Events success for Penrith. Another example of what happens when you quality infrastructure…you attract quality events. No doubt the Visitor Economy will feature prominently on the agenda for this conference.
In a win for the local economy, and a sign of Penrith's credentials as a place for business events, Penrith will host the 2025 Local Government NSW Annual Conference. The Annual Conference is the local government sector’s flagship event that brings hundreds of councillors, general managers and council staff from across NSW together to set the advocacy agenda for the coming year. Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said he was delighted the City of Penrith would be hosting the 2025 event and was excited to have the chance to highlight the wonderful things the area has to offer. “We are honoured to host the 2025 LGNSW Annual Conference in Penrith, the best community in the West,” Cr Carney said. “Penrith is growing at an exponential rate, with the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport rail line and a huge array of projects that focus on creating a greener, more liveable city." https://brnw.ch/21wHKFP #businessevents #lgnsw #positivelypenrith

Interesting use of data. 1.5million and £1.7billion are huge numbers which paints a positive picture. It is only once you look deeper does the real story appear. Compared with 2019 pre-Covid visitor numbers are down by between 1-22% except Scotland. With total inbound visitors at 93% of 2019 levels. Expenditure is nominally higher across all regions than 2019, but and it is a big but, that figure hasn’t takes into account inflation which was 21% between 2019-2022 and 7% in 2023. Although not a numbers expert I would hazard a guess that if the figures were adjusted income is less than 2019 levels. Moral of this story, sometimes good stuff isn’t always that good.
