One of the most fulfilling parts of being a leader is taking care of your team.

It is better to be a defender in a winning team than to be a star player in a losing team.

Teams: 1. A team needs a captain and it's players. Be humble in your capacity. 2. We can't all be captain but we are all players. Titles don't win matches, a fully functioning team wins matches. 3. Understand your role and own your channel. Be a dependable team mate. 4. Pass the ball with the proper touch and high accuracy. Communication and movement are key. 5. Don't be afraid to take the shot. Some days you'll have 16 shots on target for 1 goal, or 3 shots on target for 3 goals. Be persistent, never give up, give it everything you've got, for your team. 6. Respect the ref. Play by the rules and play to the whistle. 7. Think about your ideal position and practice playing in that position and against that position. Be self-taught, self-motivated and also learn from others. 8. Remember, as a team we win together, and we die together. As Michael Schumacher once said, "The flowers of victory belong in many vases".

Our Trojan Football Focus this week! This week, our focus has been on becoming “3 Yes Guys.” Let’s review what that means and why it’s so important for our success: 1. Can I trust you? Trust is built on Truth over Time. It’s earned through consistent actions, not words. 2. Are you committed? Commitment means doing what you said you were going to do, even after the mood you said it in has faded. 3. Do you care? Caring is about putting Team over Me. It’s about accountability and sacrifice for the greater good. The more “3 Yes Guys” we have, the more opportunities we’ll create to be successful—on and off the field. This is how champions are made. However my point here is, a good leader empowers their team , makes their team feel valued, and most of all cares.. this is how he managed to have a successful team that united as one and got us to semi finals and finals..
