Replacing estrogen before it falls too low is essential. When your estrogen levels dip below the normal range during perimenopause and menopause, your risk of medical issues like heart disease, diabetes and high cholesterol begins to increase. Not only that, but you may also notice annoying symptoms including hot flashes, achy joints, brain fog, genital dryness, poor mood, and more. Estrogen is essential for maintaining strong bones, a sharp mind, breast health, and heart health. While diet and lifestyle strategies help, more is often needed. After menopause, you won’t be able to restore hormone levels to a normal youthful range with lifestyle changes alone. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is needed! HRT is natural and safe for the majority of people, despite what you may have heard. If you’ve never heard of it or feel confused with all the misinformation out there, reach out to me to learn everything you need to know about hormone replacement therapy. Building muscle is key to health and longevity. This is a pretty amazing stat: Having strong muscles is associated with a 30% reduction in overall mortality risk. Read that again. You are 30% less likely to die from any cause when you have strong muscles 🤯 Lifting weights is great for your cardiovascular health - Women with higher muscle mass levels are less likely to die from heart disease. Regular strength training supports cardiovascular health by improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, and enhancing overall heart function. Fun fact: this improvement in blood flow can help reduce hot flashes in menopause. Strong muscles support healthy bones. Muscular strength is inversely associated with death from all causes and cancer. Exercise, including strength training, stimulates the release of endorphins and other neurochemicals that enhance cognitive function and mood. It may even protect against age-related cognitive decline. Want to start strength training but not sure what exactly that looks like. We can help. Our 21 Day Build Program helps you get going. Supporting your liver’s detox processes through lifestyle changes and proper nutrition can significantly improve your mental clarity and overall well-being. 🌟 Did you know that perimenopause is often misdiagnosed? 🌟 Many experience symptoms for years without realizing the true cause. Perimenopause, the transitional phase before menopause, can start as early as your 30s and last for several years. Yet, it’s frequently overlooked or mistaken for other conditions. The symptoms of perimenopause are diverse and can mimic other health issues, making it challenging for both individuals and healthcare providers to identify. Common symptoms include: ✔ Irregular periods ✔ brain fog ✔ Mood swings ✔ Hot flashes ✔ Sleep disturbances Unfortunately, only about 20% of people are familiar with perimenopause, and many healthcare providers lack specific training in recognizing these symptoms. This lack of awareness leads to misdiagnoses, with symptoms often attributed to stress, aging, or other medical conditions. For example: ☑ Night sweats might be mistaken for thyroid issues. ☑ Mood swings could be seen as depression or anxiety. This misdiagnosis can delay appropriate treatment and support, leaving people to suffer unnecessarily. Understanding perimenopause is crucial for timely and accurate diagnosis. By raising awareness and educating both individuals and healthcare providers, we can ensure better health outcomes and support during this significant life transition. P.S. Have you or someone you know experienced misdiagnosed perimenopause symptoms? Share your story in the comments below or reach out to learn more about how we can navigate this journey together.

Did you know menopause can impact your heart health? Changes in estrogen levels during menopause can lead to fluctuations in heart rate, including palpitations, and lower heart rate variability (HRV)—a marker of cardiovascular health. Understanding these shifts can empower women to take proactive steps to protect their hearts during this life stage. While these changes are natural, they highlight the importance of maintaining heart health through regular exercise, a balanced diet, stress management, and proper sleep.
