BharatCares’ Post

Gujarat Gas Limited, in collaboration with GUJARAT LIVELIHOOD PROMOTION COMPANY LTD (GLPC), BharatCares, IndiGive Foundation and IMPAct4Nutrition (I4N) Platform (an initiative supported by UNICEF India and 16 partners), is driving a powerful movement to support women’s economic independence in the Garbada Block of Dahod District, Gujarat. Through the Micro Enterprise Development Program, aspiring women entrepreneurs are being equipped with the tools to transform their dreams into successful ventures. So far, 150 women have completed an immersive 9-day training, gaining vital knowledge in Entrepreneurship Development, Financial Literacy, and Digital Literacy. These skills lay a strong foundation for their journey toward building and managing their own businesses. Beyond business skills, the program takes a comprehensive approach to well-being. With support from IMPAct4Nutrition, focused sessions on women’s health and nutrition have been integrated into the training. Participants learned practical ways to prioritise a balanced, protein-rich diet, creatively use local fruits and vegetables and make informed nutritional choices. All participants also received haemoglobin testing, reinforcing the importance of monitoring health as part of a thriving life. We are inspired by these determined women and can’t wait to see how they will shape their communities with their entrepreneurial spirit! Empowered, skilled, and healthy, these future business leaders are ready to make an impact.
