Empowering Rural Talent: A Path to Sustainable Development India’s rural youth, especially those from farming communities, possess a wealth of natural skills—identifying plants, managing livestock, pest control, composting, and even heavy labor tasks like stacking and loading. However, these invaluable skills often go unrecognized due to the lack of formal certification, leaving them with limited opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship. To address this gap, institutions like NIPHM Hyderabad, MANAGE, and NIRDPR must step in to certify these skills, provide hands-on training, and offer financial support for startups in rural areas. By doing so, we can turn these underutilized talents into drivers of economic growth. Barefooter Foundation Pune and startups like Pestosys LLP are already taking the lead by offering skill-based training, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating job opportunities. Through public-private partnerships, sustainable finance, and market linkage, we can transform rural India into a hub of skilled professionals and successful entrepreneurs. The future of a stronger India lies in empowering its rural workforce with the right tools, training, and opportunities. #RuralDevelopment #SkillIndia #Entrepreneurship #SustainableFarming #AgriStartup

#NextBharatkiKahaniya Meet Vikas, a rice farmer from the Sahyadri Mountains in Maharashtra. Like many farmers in the Sahyadri region, Vikas grows just one crop throughout the year due to the challenging climate conditions. With no other sources of income, these farmers often have to migrate for the rest of the year to another region for finding work opportunities and for sustaining their families. Pragati, who also belongs to the same area, understands this struggle firsthand. She was determined to make a change. Driven by a passion for economically empowering her community, Pragati started a social impact enterprise that connects a segment of urban travellers, who are seeking authentic immersive experiences, with the farmers of this region. This noble initiative provides farmers with a additional sustainable source of income opportunity, and allowing them to stay-back at home all-year-round and better supporting their families while staying with them. There are many such passionate individuals who are driven by noble causes, contribution, and sense of community. They want to turn social problems into hope—hope for the next Bharat, and hope for a better tomorrow. These people aim to be catalysts for a positive change, with a deep understanding of the challenges their communities face. They are creating profitable businesses that also make a significant social impact. We call them Impact Entrepreneurs. If you are like Pragati, apply for the Next Bharat Residency Program here. https://lnkd.in/gbDnk-vh Think impact. Think Bharat.

🌱 Rural Agri Entrepreneurship: Vital for Future India India's future lies in harnessing its rural potential.
