"Ambiguity often leads to disputes, overshadowing the legacies of those who intended to leave behind peace and order" The passing of legendary designer Rohit Bal on November 1, 2024, has sparked a legal battle, with two competing Wills contesting his legacy. This highlights the critical importance of clear and unambiguous succession planning. As estate planning lawyers, this moment calls us to craft estate plans that are not only legally sound but also unmistakably clear, reflecting our clients’ lives and values without room for misinterpretation. As the case progresses, the mystery of the intended legatees will undoubtedly unravel, offering lessons in the importance of precise estate planning. #EstatePlanning #SuccessionLaw #WillDrafting https://lnkd.in/dzf2sjMW

𝚃̲𝚑̲𝚎̲ ̲𝙱̲𝚊̲𝚗̲𝚊̲𝚗̲𝚊̲ ̲🍌̲:̲ ̲𝙰̲ ̲𝙻̲𝚎̲𝚜̲𝚜̲𝚘̲𝚗̲ ̲𝚒̲𝚗̲ ̲𝚅̲𝚊̲𝚕̲𝚞̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚊̲𝚗̲𝚍̲ ̲𝙿̲𝚎̲𝚛̲𝚌̲𝚎̲𝚙̲𝚝̲𝚒̲𝚘̲𝚗̲ ̲ In 2019, the art world was turned upside down when Maurizio Cattelan's "Comedian" – a banana duct-taped to a wall – sold for a whopping $120,000 at Art Basel Miami Beach. Yes, you read that right. 𝗔 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮. 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗲. $𝟭𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬. During those days, while some would have seen this as a sign that the art world has gone bananas (pun intended), I wonder what one can say when, recently, the history repeated itself at a Sotheby's art auction, but this time with a (can I say inflation-adjusted) figure of $6.2 million. 𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. 𝗔 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮. 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗲. $𝟲.𝟮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻. As the internet floods with news articles and social media buzzes with memes (there are plenty to enjoy, with many individuals and brands leveraging this viral wave, but I think Brooke Shields beat them all when she taped a banana 🍌 to her face https://lnkd.in/dr6UCcyi), I thought of sharing my thoughts about value and perception. 𝟭. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: What might seem absurd to someone can be a masterpiece to another. This banana serves as a good reminder that value isn't always about the material but the meaning and context we assign to it. 𝟮. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘂𝘀: Cattelan's piece wasn't just about the banana; it was about the conversation it sparked. I am sure there are a lot of great minds, have put their attention and time on this banana, to discuss about what constitutes art and value. 𝟯. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆: Sometimes, the most unconventional ideas can make the biggest impact. This artwork challenged traditional notions and encouraged us to think outside the box (or should I say the fruit bowl). So, next time you see something that makes you scratch your head, remember the banana. It might just be the next big thing. 🚀 😎 Source: The Wall Street Journal https://lnkd.in/dZR2tc7h #Art #Innovation #Value #Perception #Creativity #Marketing #DigitalMarketing

🌸 New Work Alert! 🌸 Do you ever find yourself longing for those moments of childhood that felt magical and timeless? I’m thrilled to share my latest creative direction project for Lakshita Fashions’ Spring/Summer Pre-Festive Collection, titled “Woh Din.” This campaign was a heartfelt exploration of nostalgia, aiming to evoke memories of carefree summers, childhood play, and family traditions that stay with us forever. Art Direction: We carefully crafted each visual to feel like a snapshot of a cherished memory—using heritage Indian homes with courtyards and lush outdoor settings. The contrast of vibrant festive garments against these earthy, nostalgic backdrops allowed the storytelling to flow seamlessly, blending past and present. Casting: We intentionally cast models across different age groups to reflect how memories connect us all, no matter our stage in life. From playful children to older generations reminiscing on their younger days, the diversity of casting helped bring a sense of authenticity and relatability to each scene. Styling: Every outfit was a reflection of childhood whimsy mixed with modern sophistication. Playful fabrics, intricate motifs, and vintage-inspired accessories were used to strike a balance between the innocence of childhood and the elegance of festive wear. Photography and Film Direction: We focused on creating emotionally resonant images, playing with natural light and shadows to evoke warmth and depth. Outdoor shots felt carefree and dreamlike, while indoor scenes were intimate and cozy, drawing viewers into the narrative as if they were part of it. Music Collaboration: An original track created by sibling musicians Danish Sood and Sabrina Sood added another layer to the campaign, complementing the visuals with music that amplified the nostalgia and emotional depth we aimed to evoke. This project was a labor of love, and I’m grateful to Lakshita Fashions for trusting me to bring this vision to life. A huge thank you to the entire team—photographers, stylists, models, and everyone behind the scenes—who poured their creativity and passion into making this campaign unforgettable.
