Watch just about any science fiction movie from the 1950s, and you’ll see robots doing everything from building spaceships to serving dinner. But it’s been taking a while for this futuristic utopia to become reality. Finally, though, the real world is catching up to the fictional one—at least in #electronicsmanufacturing. Learn how new developments in #robotics technology are remaking the manufacture of everything from cars to #medicaldevices. #BusinessExcellence https://loom.ly/L_Xtlgs Image: Thick, white robotic arms assemble printed circuit boards on an assembly line.

Ladies & Gentleman! I am proud to introduce our trump card for automated production. A little black box contain sophisticated high-tech know-how and an intelligent system that saves tons of money and time in various industries - our Scansonic-TH6D-Advanced. It gives the industrial robot an eye and communicates with its "brain" 😊. But let's start from the beginning: ⚙️ The challenge of automated production Modern robotics and automated systems are essential for efficient production in today's world. This trend is reinforced by a shortage of skilled workers, which is forcing even small and medium-sized companies to increase automation. Position errors and component tolerances can often not be corrected by a robot that blindly follows its path. 👁️ Optical seam tracking - the robot with a seeing eye Our optical seam tracking sensors such as the TH6D-Advanced help the robot. They guide its arm along the desired seam, detect deviations of the workpiece position and automatically provide feedback. In our experience, the quality of the optics of such a tracking sensor, the performance of its vision processor and the accuracy of the regulation and control algorithms are crucial. That's why our sensors are designed exactly with these factors in mind. From choosing a camera system to identifying components... In addition to small components, large components must also be reliably identified. Therefore, a high-resolution depth sensor is needed that can identify the components and the depth data they contain. In this way, the robot can be guaranteed sufficiently precise location data of the components to locate the components. Camera and sensor technology of sufficient quality is needed for this purpose. Therefore, it makes sense to use a camera with a sufficiently high depth resolution. The technical data of the example camera is listed below: • Structured light: The camera has a projector and a 2D camera. The projector sends light patterns into the scene, while the camera captures the distortions of this pattern due to the underlying geometry. Based on this, the point cloud is calculated. • Output: High resolution 3D RGB point cloud. • Tolerance to reflections. • Lightweight (robot installation): Advanced hand-eye calibration interface However, in addition to the features and advantages of the camera system mentioned above, the disadvantages described below have also been taken into account: • No translucent objects. • Depth imaging only in place, i.e. the camera must be motionless (data collection in flight is not possible). • Limited use on highly reflective surfaces. • Do not use outdoors or in direct light. The disadvantages mentioned above are controllable in industrial conditions because filming with the camera takes place in stable conditions, where there is e.g. the amount of lighting is even and there are hardly any reflections. In these conditions, the battery and the robot can also remain in place throughout the shooting operation, and possible reflections can be compensated with camera adjustments. If you need the latest information about the robotic recycling process of electric car traction batteries, don't hesitate to contact me and we will agree on cooperation patterns. 😀 #recirculate #battery #batteryrecycling #batterymaterials #batteryindustry #battery Fortum Battery Recycling Oy Morrow Batteries Stena Recycling AB Vianode Battery Norway
