🔹 Today, October 10th, is World Mental Health Day.
Reach out and listen to anyone who is suffering in silence. Depression and mental health disorders are not a game, not a figment of imagination, not something to be taken lightly.
Depression and other mental health conditions are not "because you don't pray," not "because you're immoral," not due to "games, phones, or superstitions."
Depression and other mental illnesses are diseases that affect humans and are treated like any other physical illness, such as diabetes or hypertension.
When someone shares their struggle with you, don't belittle their pain or offer them unhelpful advice.
Respect the pain of depression and mental illness sufferers. They need treatment and psychological support. Don't kill them by reproaching them for not praying, abandoning the Quran, or questioning their faith, diminishing their suffering.
Today marks World Mental Health Day, a reminder that mental health should be valued, promoted, and protected.
Under this year's theme set by the World Health Organization, "it is time to prioritize mental health in the workplace," we recognize that change continues to impact the way we live and work, and that caring for one another and prioritizing the health and safety of our employees and our families is paramount.
Throughout the week, we've been actively engaging our employees through a series of virtual events aimed at championing awareness and empowering our teams to create a brighter future where everyone can thrive.
We put people first in order to take energy forward. #WeAreBakerHughes
