Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER)’s Post

I am glad to share our recently published paper in RSC Sustainability, which focuses on lead compound recycling. In this work, we developed a simple, mild, and efficient method to recycle lead compounds from “end-of-life” lead-acid batteries for the fabrication of perovskite solar cells. The analysis demonstrates that the recycled lead iodide meets the quality standards of commercially available products, as confirmed by purity assessments and the successful fabrication of perovskite solar cells. Boosting sustainability for Fox and Lovell. When Kettering based Fox’s Group were looking to expand beyond their current services to include warehouse storage, they knew that it would mean some changes to their new company’s (FANDL) Pytchley Lodge Industrial Estate based site. Thank you Avfall Sverige and ISWA International Solid Waste Association for the opportunity to share what we do within #ccus #ccaas My key messages today ♻️in Europe Reuse and Recycling of products will increase - but landfilling will decrease. 💨 Wether we like it or not, fossil emissions from Waste-to-Energy will likely remain on roughly todays levels for some decades - unless we deploy WtE CCS (WACCS). 💰To reduce cost in the long run, the first projects needs to be deployed - and for that support such as the reversed auction in Sweden or the Danish support scheme is required. Important that also capture of fossil carbon from waste receives support. 🇩🇰Danmark has today the most fit-for-purpose support scheme to tackle emissions from Waste-to-Energy
