OPERATIONS RESEARCH CHALLENGES INSIDE AIR FRANCE-KLM
I was honored to present as the plenary industrial speaker this morning during the first day of OR66, the annual conference hosted by The OR Society, which brings together the brightest minds in Operations Research. The event serves as a critical platform for sharing innovations and challenges that shape industries across the globe.
In my presentation, I delved into the key Operations Research challenges we face at Air France-KLM, covering areas such as demand modeling, dynamic pricing, digital marketing, hub-network optimization, predictive maintenance, and, importantly, disruption management. It was a privilege to share these insights, and I was thrilled to see the positive reception from the attendees.
The topics I discussed were the result of extensive collaboration across teams at Air France-KLM. I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to all my colleagues who contributed their expertise and support to make this possible. Special thanks to: Antonio Montaruli, Matthijs Kieskamp, Friso Scholten, Iris van Dam, Michel de Bruin, Arjan Westerhof, Kevin Duijndam, Mohand AIT ALAMARA, Floris Freeman, Rob Stolk, Kunal Kumar, PhD, Rob Wenneker, Asteris Apostolidis, PhD.
A big shout-out to The OR Society for organizing such an inspiring event, where practitioners and academics come together to tackle the complex challenges of today and tomorrow.
