The difference between service and hospitality: Service is black and white: it means you’re doing your job with competency and efficiency. Hospitality is color: color means you make people feel great about the job you’re doing for them. #serviceindustry #unreasonablehospitality

Those of us who chose the hospitality industry to work in and continue to stick with it know it's not an easy industry to be in. There is a reason we love it... You know you're a genuine hospitality professional when the essence of service transcends the boundaries of mere duty and becomes a reflection of your personal values. The hallmark of a true professional in this field is not just in how well they manage the operations or the numbers but in the subtle art of making every guest feel genuinely cared for and valued. It's about creating experiences that resonate on a personal level, turning transient interactions into lasting memories. Whether it's through meticulous attention to detail, the warmth of your greeting, or the extra mile you go to meet a guest's needs, it's these gestures that elevate the service from ordinary to extraordinary. #hospitalityindustry #hospitalitycareers #hospitalityrecruitment #hospitalityheart #hospitalitymatters #recruiting

It's the best way I've ever found to explain the difference between #service and #hospitality "Service is black and white; hospitality is color.""Black and white" means you're doing your job with competence and efficiency; "color" means you make people feel great about the job you're doing for them. Getting the right plate to the right person at the right table is service. But genuinely engaging with the person you're serving, so you can make an authentic connection-that's hospitality.” Quotes from the book of unreasonable hospitality #unreasonablehospitality

The hospitality industry thrives more on attitude and passion than on skills. Recently, I came across an article discussing the lack of skilled workforce in the hospitality industry. However, I have always believed that skills can be acquired with the right mindset and attitude. And let me tell you why. 1. Skills can be learned, but genuine enthusiasm can't be faked. Guests can tell the difference between someone going through the motions and someone who truly cares. 2. Passion fuels excellence. When you love hospitality, you go the extra mile, creating memorable experiences that elevate the service. 3. A positive attitude sets the tone. A smile, a warm greeting, and a willingness to help make all the difference, fostering a welcoming environment. Don't get me wrong; skills are important. Having a solid foundation in industry practices allows individuals to deliver efficient and professional service. However, when combined with a positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality, these skills become the building blocks for exceptional experiences. #hospitalityindustry #indianhospitality #Retvens

"Hospitality is more than just a job; it's a way of life—a commitment to service, a dedication to excellence, and a passion for making others feel welcomed and valued. You have the power to turn a simple interaction into a lasting impression, to transform a moment into a cherished memory. Whether you're serving a meal, checking in a guest, or offering assistance, your attitude sets the tone for the entire experience. Those who excel in hospitality understand that it's not just about what you do, but how you do it. It's about the genuine smile, the warm greeting, and the sincere desire to make a difference. It's about treating every guest as if they were a cherished friend, and every interaction as an opportunity to create magic. So, as you embark on your journey in hospitality, remember that attitude is everything. With the right attitude and the right skills, there is no limit to how high you can soar. So reach for the sky, and let your passion for hospitality guide you every step of the way."
