This change means alot to me personally. As a woman who has twice been through maternity leave, it makes a huge financial difference. I often get asked why we don't have more women on boards. It's because we lose very capable women at mid-level management, and I firmly believe the lack of maternity benefits coupled with the lack of support at this life stage is challenging to navigate. 🎤 "During this research process, I’ve been shocked by the lack of data on enhanced maternity benefits. But what I do recognise, is that it takes women to fight for these changes and male colleagues to support the need for change. For every company that has an ESG agenda, this needs to be more than a bullet point, it needs to be an opportunity to do the right thing and level the playing field." I challenge every business with an #ESG agenda to tackle their parental benefits policy, if you are really serious about levelling the playing field, make this positive change. #ESG #maternityleave #paternityleave #womenintech #traveltek #traveltechnology #equalrights #culturematters

It’s International Women’s Day and we find that both Non-Disabled and Disabled women often get left out of the conversation and are still getting left behind in terms of equality and equity. We wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the gender pay gap this #InternationalWomensDay 👩🏻💻 Among all employees, the gender pay gap was reported at 14.3% in 2023. When adding disability into the mix, we find that these figures increase dramatically. 👩🏽🦽Disabled women experience the highest employment pay gap and are paid 35% less than non-disabled men. This figure can be impacted by the type of disability a person has. For example, the difference between nondisabled women's pay and that of women with physical impairments ranges from 8% to 18%, highlighting the barriers and discrimination in employment that disabled women face. Today in 2024, we still have a long way to go in terms of seeing these figures match up. Let's use this International Women's Day to raise awareness and amplify the voices and stories of Disabled Women 💙🚀 Tag a phenomenal disabled woman who inspires you (in the non-icky way) in the comments 📣 #InternationalWomensDay #DisabledWomen #InclusionMatters #EqualityForAll Sources: Gender Pay-gap the office of national statistics and https://lnkd.in/esDUKa_w

A great post highlighting the gender pay gap, and the impact on Disabled women. It's important to note, this is of course only for the small percentage of disabled women in employment due to the multiple barriers in place! This international women's day theme of #InvestInInclusion #InspireInclusion let's ensure all women, especially those who are multiply marginalised have their voices heard and supported. #IWD2024 #Inclusion #Disability

Someone who shared this with proper data. I have been telling for long. In India it is huge, You could not found woman with disability in consulting firms in case men with disability it is 1 or 2 out of 1000. Just photoshoot with people with disability, execution's value is in negative. #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #layoffs #hrmanager #Employee #Seniors #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #Kolkata #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #hrscams #scams #scamalert #recruitmentscams #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #US #India #bengali #singapore #bengaliculture #Equality #LGBTQ #lgbtq #owner #entrepreneur #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #MentalHealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness

#Gender roles shape the daily routine of people. Women spend more time for unpaid work daily according to the men. Oppositely, men take place in paid works that transfer their effort to money. This contributes the women to be invisible. #Income is an important determinant of health. There should be support women to be more visible and access better life standarts. What I want for #iwd - I want there to be a recognition that juggling a career and mothering is a first world problem. Many women of this world still need help with equality of freedom, education, and life. I am happy to be able to lawyer and mother, and suffer only a lack of sleep and maybe some sanity. Unlike many working mothers, I do not have a full time helper. But I do have good after school care, 2 Thermomix machines to cook up a speedy dinner each night, and parents who are healthy enough to help when in need. What of women who have far less? I am certain their responsibilities exceed ours in breadwinning, meal cooking, child caring, and chore doing. I'd give up the fight for workplace equality and Flexi (air conditioned) work for at least tomorrow, to look into how we can lift other less fortunate women up. The fight for rights in second wave feminism is not over for everyone. #internationalwomensday2024
