A fantastic week for SIMCON at Fakuma 2024🚀 The SIMCON booth received excellent attendance this year despite the overall lower visitor turnout at the event, likely due to the current economic climate. We had great discussions with new and long-standing customers. Thanks to Jonas Schlachter and Simon G. from PFAFF Werkzeug- und Formenbau, who informed us that since they started using CADMOULD, their team is no longer the bottleneck — a positive testimony to how CADMOULD can improve daily operations. Our conversation with Christian Becht at Gindele GmbH was equally rewarding; one of our most loyal customers, Christian, has become a true advocate for CADMOULD.🏆 Thanks, too, to our long-standing partner, ARBURG GmbH + Co KG. Our discussions with Arburg’s Werner Faulhaber show that we have no shortage of ideas for future innovations. 💡 And hats off to the K-PROFI team, especially the editor Gabi Rzepka and editor-in-chief Markus Lüling, who probed our minds on hot topics like AI and provided excellent coverage of Fakuma Messe via their K-Profi Aktuell magazine. 📰 Here are our takeaways from the week 👉 ✅Smart innovation: the key to staying competitive in challenging times Many of our visitors emphasised that technological innovations, like SIMCON’s solutions, CADMOULD and VARIMOS AI, are vital to staying competitive during these challenging times. While major investments in hardware have slowed, cost-effective software can still improve operations. We are particularly delighted to see the growing market interest in Design of Experiments (DoE), which has boosted interest in our VARIMOS Real solution, as many producers currently lack smart alternatives and still use Excel. 🏋️Challenges facing the plastics industry We are facing some serious headwinds. The plastics industry needs more planning security, less bureaucracy, and lower energy costs. Capacity utilisation in plastics processing remains low, with companies hesitant to invest. Customers are concerned about bureaucratic obstacles, high costs, and shifting consumer behaviours due to environmental concerns. In particular, the automotive industry faces reduced model variety, falling order numbers, and uncertainty over propulsion methods. 🔮Future outlook and actions Unfortunately, uncertainty persists, and there is no clear strategy to address market challenges. The industry urges immediate, proactive action to adapt and shape the future. What is needed is a comprehensive restructuring, flexibility, and a willingness to take risks. Part of this means embracing innovation and pursuing smart technologies that provide cost-effective solutions. 🌟 HiPer it! at the #TechDays #DigitalInnovationSummit in Bavaria: the 10th anniversary event that drives innovation forward  This week, HiPer it! is participating in the TechDays Digital Innovation Summit in Munich, organized by Bayern Innovativ GmbH. 🍀 HiPer it!'s application for the event, with it's innovative approach of using #BigData and #AI technologies for #decarbonization and #energyefficiency, attracted a lot of interest and successfully passed the participant selection process.  🤝 Pavel Filonov led a workshop and pitch during the event together with other leading industry players such as Ann-Kathrin Freiberg from BioID GmbH, Ralf Busse, Anja Simon from LNI 4.0 (Labs Network Industrie 4.0 e.V.), Omar Tarabai from PERIAN GmbH, Frank Egle from UNWARE, Niklas Rose from Newbeemountain, Rosmarie Steininger from Chemistree GmbH, Srinath Mallikarjunan and others. 💡 The solution attracted a lot of interest from the participants and demonstrated a smart way of using big data and #AI to reduce #CO2 emissions and energy consumption.  Numerous interesting meetings at our booth, a live demo of HiPerWare - Big Data solution to reduce energy costs and meet regulatory sustainability targets in real estate. 🙂 We were pleased to connect with industry innovators and entrepreneurs, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations. Wonderful experience visiting FILTECH 2024 at Köln, the world’s premier event for the filtration and separation industry! Participating in this global gathering has been an incredible opportunity to connect with competitors & suppliers, learn about groundbreaking innovations, and discuss the future of filtration technology. This event not only reinforced my understanding of the latest advancements but also brought new insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Top Takeaways from #FILTECH2024: 1. From advanced filtration media to sustainable solutions, it's clear that technology will drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in the years to come. 2. Environmental responsibility was a major focus. Seeing so many companies prioritizing eco-friendly products and processes has inspired me to champion sustainability with my clients and look for solutions that align with both performance and environmental goals. 3. This industry thrives on collaboration. It was rewarding to meet partners, suppliers who share a vision for tackling global challenges in filtration. Building these relationships is key to driving collective progress.
