Over-Sexualisation in Society: A Call for Awareness Let’s talk about the growing over-sexualisation in society, especially in the media. When you watch this video, what comes to mind? Do you see a talented child expressing art, or do you feel a deeper concern about how innocence is being manipulated for entertainment? 30M view already!! On TikTok. We need to ask ourselves what kind of role models are being presented to young, impressionable minds. Even the lyrics in today’s popular music reflect an early conditioning—kids imitate what they see, often unaware of the deeper implications. Reflecting on my own childhood, I remember exploring self-expression, dressing up in fun, playful ways. But that was in private, safe from the eyes of strangers. Today, we see children on public platforms, sometimes dressed or acting in ways that feel far too adult. It’s reminiscent of child pageants, where kids are often dressed and made up in ways that don't feel appropriate for their age. As a parent and a woman who embraces her own sensuality and feminine expression, I don’t view this as shaming. It's about raising important questions. Society seems to be getting more desensitized, and we need to ask: Where do we draw the line? While creative feminine expression is a beautiful thing, seeing provocative performances from children can be disturbing. I noticed mixed opinions on this issue, but I feel it’s important to talk about what’s really happening here. We must protect the innocence of children. We owe it to the next generation to be more mindful of the messages and images they’re exposed to. Objectification and over-sexualization affect us all, but we can each make a difference by speaking up, being aware, and standing together to protect the most vulnerable. What are your thoughts on this? Zoe Bell / Zoe-Anna Bell #awareness #socialmedia #realtalk #protecttheinnocent 💓

🌟 Why are so many MEN seeking Emotional Sobriety? 🌟 🤗 Today, I want to share something that has been on my mind lately – the intriguing trend of having so many male clients seeking guidance on their conflicts, addictions and emotions. 💬 Society has often perpetuated the notion that men should suppress their emotions, but emotions are not gender-specific! All genders, struggle to comprehend their feelings, however, it seems that an increasing number of my clients happen to be the men... and they're breaking the shackles of societal norms. Why are they attracted to Emotional Sobriety as a curriculum? Well, because it teaches that... 🧠 Emotions Are Not a Mystery 🧠 Emotions can often feel like a riddle wrapped in an enigma, but they need not be so. I've dedicated myself to demystifying emotions and approaching them with a logical lens. Emotions are, in fact, rooted in chemistry – the interplay of neurotransmitters and hormones that shape our experiences. 💡 Emotions Can Be Objective 💡 I've observed that when emotions are presented in an objective manner, breaking them down to their biochemical basis, it resonates deeply with many individuals, including men. Instead of dismissing feelings as elusive or irrational, understanding the science behind them brings a sense of clarity and control. 💪 It's Training! 💪 We are training emotional fluency and behavioral regulation. When we gain the mastery of Emotional Sobriety (internally), we gain the ability to influence our lives, without being controlled by what is happening around us (externally). It's like having a superpower that allows us to navigate through life's challenges with resilience and grace. Regardless of gender, I am immensely proud of those igniting the courage to finally overcome what has been blocking their ease. #EmotionalSobriety #GenderRoles #BreakingStereotypes #ChemistryOfEmotions

It's time to break free from the imbalances in emotional expression! Let's work towards nurturing emotional intelligence for everyone, regardless of gender. Teaching boys to toughen up and hide their feelings, while urging men to share emotions creates an unfair disparity. It's time for change! Emotional intelligence knows no gender boundaries. It's about understanding, managing, and embracing our emotions for healthier connections. By nurturing emotional intelligence in all genders, we foster empathy, compassion, and authentic expression. Let's create an environment where everyone feels safe to share their feelings. It's time to empower little boys to express their emotions, teach them healthy ways to manage feelings, and foster their emotional growth. Let's break the cycle and create a balanced future. Let's challenge outdated stereotypes and promote emotional intelligence for all genders. Together, we can create a more compassionate and understanding world! #EmotionalIntelligenceMatters #BreakTheCycle #NurtureEmotionalGrowth #EqualityForAllGenders #AuthenticExpression #Empathy #Compassion #TogetherWeCanChange #CreatingABalancedFuture

Earlier in the year I had a group of brilliant students shadow me as part of a documentary they had been making on the people who create safe spaces for trans young people. Today I received a folder of pictures of Lola from them! Unlike Lola, I found being on camera in this way quite bizarre. The process made me able to really reflect on what a rollercoaster leading Blossom is. In one day of filming I was having positive meetings about an art exhibition and meeting with Jenny Rayner about our exciting collaboration at the Can Anyone Hear Me Conference... But I was also simultaneously working with a young adult who recently fled home due to the threat of honour based violence & conversion therapy. How was I able to be so happy and positive during a meeting with such negative stories on my mind? How did I remain calm and publicly present such a positive persona whilst trying to support people through scenarios I can only have nightmares about? Why wasn't I visibly angry at the failures of our statutory services?! I'm still not 100% sure of the answers - I suppose it feels somewhat necessary to shield others from the second hand trauma this sort of work can create. I think I've also developed a lot more skill to cope and manage the emotional rollercoaster that is this work. What I do know is that during this 8 hour window of filming: someone having the hardest time of their life felt seen for the first time in years, we planned a conference that will change the lives of children who are exploring their gender identity, and we captured the planning of a month of activities that will create space for queer young adults. Which I suppose is an answer in itself, that sometimes, we have to look at the positive side of even the hardest stories to keep going.
