We wholeheartedly welcome the announcement of a Clean Industrial Deal and a European Competitiveness Fund and congratulate Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as President of the European Commission 👏. Six months since the European Industry Summit, the collective voice of 25 industrial sectors represented by nearly 1,300 stakeholders that signed the Antwerp Declaration has been heard loud and clear. A Clean Industrial Deal will safeguard the competitiveness of Europe’s energy-intensive industries and allow us to achieve our common aspirations to implement the #EUGreenDeal 🌍. We look forward to working with the new European Commission on these initiatives towards a greener, prosperous, and more competitive Europe. Together, we can ensure that the future of clean and cutting-edge technology is made in Europe 🦾. We are grateful for the acknowledgement of our call for an Industrial Deal as outlined in the #AntwerpDeclaration 📜. “The fundamentals of the global economy are changing and those who are not competitive will be dependent ⚙️. The future of our prosperity must be made in Europe.” #IndustrialDeal #EuropesChoice #EPlenary European Parliament
I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to President Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as President of the European Commission, and I welcome the announcement of a Clean Industrial Deal and a Competitiveness Fund. Since February, over 1,200 leaders of Europe's industry have united through the #AntwerpDeclaration, and we are pleased that our long-awaited call has been answered. Let's continue to work together for a more competitive and resilient industry in Europe! #EUGreenDeal #competitiveness #IndustrialDeal Syensqo

7moUnfortunately I'm not optimistic about this bis. This Commission has severely tested the UE chemical industry, with bureaucracy and nonsense restrictions. We in the textile sector have now become the evil of the world. To us in the EU supply chain, mistreated and left without competitiveness. After all, uncontrolled Asian fast fashion and their well-known EU clients are better than protecting the EU supply chain. Furthermore, let's remember that a few months ago, tractors in the streets of Brussels, and with the Commission's immediate about-face on the pesticide regulation. Unfortunately I'm not optimistic about this bis.
