Sustainability is one of Italfeed's core values. That's why our portfolio includes uncommon, but very valuable, ingredients. One of them is quebracho (in powder), an extract rich in tannins and polyphenols which, among other properties, reduces the emission of methane (greenhouse gas) in ruminants. #feed #animalsnutrition #sustainability

𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬: 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧. At Rovensa Next, we share our farmers' experiences with Phylgreen, the natural biostimulant that boosts crops’ resilience against abiotic stress through a primactive effect. Made from 𝘈𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘮 seaweed through a gentle cold extraction process known as GLT (Gentle & Low Temperature), it preserves all the active ingredients nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants found in the algae. 🌱 Phylgreen’s support against abiotic stress is crucial in a changing climate where factors like drought, extreme temperatures, and salinity increasingly challenge crop health and productivity. 🔹 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐬: Enriched with chelated micronutrients, it helps crops to achieve its optimal nutrition, especially in case of abiotic stress situations, supporting the plants to fight osmotic shocks and ensuring high-quality flowering, fruit development, ripening, yield and crops’ quality. 🔹 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚: Enriched with macro and micronutrients, it was designed to enhance flowering, pollen vitality, and fruit set while increase the crop tolerance against extreme conditions such as drought, heat, or salinity. 📢 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬. 🌿 In the Q4 2024 edition of Protein Production Technology International, we caught up with six big experts on a very small but food source: algae. Algae have a promising future as a food source due to their exceptional nutritional content and environmental benefits. Rich in proteins, essential amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, algae are being explored as a sustainable alternative protein. They require minimal land, water, and energy to grow, making them far more environmentally friendly than traditional crops and livestock. Algae can also play a role in carbon capture, as they absorb CO2 during cultivation. With their versatility, algae are being incorporated into functional foods, supplements, and plant-based products, positioning them as a key player in the future of sustainable food production. Special thanks to Yonatan Golan from Brevel, David Erlandsson from Aliga Microalgae, Eugene Wang from Sophie's BioNutrients, Andrew Spicer at Algenuity, Alexander Golberg at Genesea Advanced Technologies, and Anneke Roes at Phycom for starring in this great article from Amity Reed. 🤓 Discover the power of algae in the full feature in the latest edition of Protein Production Technology now: https://hubs.ly/Q02TnSQY0 #Algae #AlternativeProteins #FutureofFood #Plantbased #FoodInnovation #Sustainability

Dear connections, We are thrilled to share our latest review article entitled "The future of algal proteins: Innovations in extraction and modifications, functional properties, and sustainable food applications," published in #Future Foods with an #impact factor of 7.2 (#Q1 Journal). This article emphasizes the role of algae as a sustainable source of protein. Moreover, As the global population nears 10 billion, food demand will rise by 70%, putting immense pressure on agricultural land and resources. Traditional animal proteins contribute to environmental degradation, necessitating sustainable alternatives. Algae, rich in essential nutrients, require minimal land and water while offering health benefits. Advanced extraction methods like PEF and UAE enhance yield. This study highlights algae’s potential to meet future protein demands sustainably, supporting food security while reducing environmental impact.
