Navigating the dental industry presents a unique challenge: "It's easier to sell the wrong Dentistry than it is to sell the right Dentistry." This notion stems from the complexity of differentiating between lucrative yet suboptimal treatments and those that truly benefit patients. Selling the wrong dentistry often involves high-fee, unnecessary procedures driven by profit rather than patient need. It's a short-term gain that can compromise patient trust and long-term practice reputation. Conversely, the right dentistry focuses on patient-centered care, which requires building value and trust through comprehensive assessment and tailored solutions [[❞]](https://lnkd.in/dMscEXuw) [[❞]](https://lnkd.in/dSw_uj_4). To thrive, dental professionals must emphasize value selling—where patients see clear benefits and trust their provider. This involves understanding patient concerns, offering transparent communication, and ensuring treatments align with their health goals. By prioritizing patient needs and ethical practices, we can shift towards a more sustainable and reputable model of dental care [[❞]](https://lnkd.in/dSw_uj_4). Let's commit to excellence and integrity in our practices, ensuring we sell the right dentistry for our patients' long-term well-being.

Five "shifts" decide how soon you will accelerate the growth of your dental practice in today's world: 1. How soon you 'shift' your practice focus from tooth-based dentistry to full-mouth & full-face, or "appearance" based dentistry. 2. How soon you 'shift' from "I should do all treatments" to effective multidisciplinary team-based approach. 3. How soon you 'shift' from "disease control" alone to health promotion to establish preventive dentistry in your practice. 4. How soon you 'shift' from logical connect to emotional connect in your conversations with your patients. 5. How soon you 'shift' your focus to building your personal brand in one specific niche. These are the five tenets of dental practice growth in today's times. All factors fall into one of these categories. This has been the core of teaching through my Perioindia courses that effectively combine 1. Clinical Smile Design (CSD) 2. Perionomics 3. Practice Verticals Looking forward to the upcoming batch on 10- 11 Aug 2024.
