Why Interns Never Get the Credit They Deserve? Being an intern is tough. We wake up early, stay late, and do our best every single day. We may not have the experience others do, but we bring something special—passion, hard work, and the desire to learn. We often work quietly in the background, helping with tasks, supporting the team, and giving our all. But so many times, our efforts go unnoticed. No one sees the long hours or the sacrifices we make. It can be discouraging when it feels like no one cares about the work we do. But I want to say this to every intern out there that our hard work matters. We are learning, growing, and shaping the future. Even when it seems like no one notices, trust that what we’re doing today is preparing us for the amazing journey ahead. Keep going. Our effort will pay off, and one day, we’ll look back and see how far we’ve come. 💪 #internship #hardwork #dedication #nevergiveup #pharmd #clinical #pharmacy #healthcare #internlife #careerpath #growth

Have you heard of Supported Internships? These are flexible learning programmes, usually running alongside the academic year and focusing on developing confidence and skills to secure paid employment. Employers and learners both benefit from tailored support. Supported internships were designed and introduced to make paid employment more accessible and inclusive for young people with additional support needs due to a disability. Find out more 👉 https://lnkd.in/eQ7p9C29
We are on the search for young people who might be interested in joining the NHS for a Supported Internship from September, working alongside experienced staff and learning practical skills directly on the job. There is also regular classroom learning involved, as well as job coach support as needed. If you know anyone who is curious, and eager to prove what they can achieve, let them know about this opportunity! Let's learn and work together! Watch this video showing the journey of 23-24 interns. 👉 https://lnkd.in/e96DRNBs

Today is National Intern Day, and it brought back a flood of memories from my own intern days—learning invaluable lessons from my preceptors, forming lasting connections, serving patients, and facing the challenge of job hunting. The familiar dilemma of "no job without experience, no experience without a job" still resonates for many today. In my role as a professor at AGMU, I often hear the frustrations of students struggling to find their first job. Reflecting on this, I remember once hiring a young pharmacy tech with zero experience. What stood out was his motivation, passion, and desire to make a difference. Trusting my gut, he became one of the best pharmacy techs I've worked with, showing the importance of giving opportunities. Let’s remember our own journeys; we were all interns once, and the importance of those open doors. To all interns, stay motivated. Your journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see the incredible impact you will have on your industry. #NationalInternDay #Mentorship #CareerJourney #Inspiration #Motivation #Interns

You know, biotech/pharma as an industry really doesn’t do very much organized recruiting, not like tech/finance/consulting. Few employers run recruiting programs (regular info sessions, on-campus recruiting with a defined application cycle) geared towards hiring people right after graduation from a degree program. Many of the summer internships, co-ops, and postdoc programs are also done without guaranteed headcount to hire any of those program participants afterwards; I have never heard of a “return offer”. There’s no cohesive recruiting strategy. So just because you are in a life science hub doesn’t mean that opportunities to learn about and meet people in the industry are easy to come by. The onus is still on the job seeker to hunt down those opportunities. If you find the whole recruiting process confusing, that’s because it is. #biotech #pharma

Recently We at FACS posted an #internship on #LinkedIn. 54 application but guess what none of them was a quality lead. This made me realise how people are applying indiscriminately/randomly and then complaining about not being shortlisted or getting a #job. I believe these two things one should definitely keep in mind before applying. Else it's like a wasted effort for both #employer and #applicant 👉 Read the job description: Don’t apply to every job posted. We saw experienced professionals applying for internship clearly meant for undergraduate students. 👉 Check the company profile: Take time to understand the company and job location. We posted an on-field job, yet candidates in interview said, “Oh, we thought it was hybrid.” Adding on to an advice for LinkedIn Please add a feature for employers to rate applicants, visible only to other employers. This would discourage blind applications #HRteam, what’s your take? Faced similar issue before? Follow #swastisays
