A difference between oil pipeline pigging and gas pipeline pigging is that when you open an oil pipe pig receiver door you see debris include sluge and sand that come by pig. but when you open a Gas pig receiver door like above pics, you only see pig because all debris include condensate, out by 2” or 3” drain pipe below the pig receiver barrel before you open the receiver door. important note: in both oil and gas pipelines pigging when you out pig from receiver, you should cheak pig rubbers that sure they aren’t damaged because if your pig rubbers damaged, it’s demonstrates that your pipeline has weld teeth or bad bend or a barrier in length of way.
