Weak institutions mean when someone uses a double identity and no individual, corruption fighting organisation or court has been able to deal with matter - then you know something is wrong with our institutions. These institutions are not weak because the courts can't manage this but weak because an higher authority will provide liberation for dealing with matter. That's why some blame political will ! if person did no wrong or mistake from registrars, then surely some cushion may be necessary with punishment but again, wrong is wrong no matter who commits this. The only question is - does the punishment fit the wrong? #Africa #CorruptionWill #WeakInstitutions #Investigations #PoliticalWill #Favouritism

Working in the accountability space is not for the faint-hearted. It requires resilience, courage, and an unwavering commitment to justice. But hearing the story of Sarah Burger and Bradley, two whistleblowers who faced unimaginable abuse of power while uncovering corruption, has left me deeply shaken. Their experience highlights the terrifying reality of what happens when those who expose the truth are silenced and intimidated. It’s hard to believe the extent to which power was abused in their case—private jets, wrongful arrests, and wasted taxpayer funds—all to suppress the investigations they were courageously conducting at the University of Fort Hare. As someone who works in a similar space, I couldn’t help but think: What would I do in their shoes? Their ordeal isn’t just shocking—it’s a stark reminder of why protecting whistleblowers is so essential. This video is not only eye-opening—it’s harder to believe and far more gripping than any box office hit you’ll watch this year. I strongly encourage my network to take the time to watch it, reflect, and consider how we can collectively demand greater accountability and stand by those who dare to speak out. Watch Sarah’s story below. We all need to support the brave individuals who fight for transparency, even when the odds are stacked against them. #Whistleblowers #Accountability #Leadership #CorruptionExposed #Transparency #SupportWhistleblowers
Imagine This: You uncover widespread corruption and fraud—millions siphoned from public funds, fraudulent academic degrees handed to top officials, and systemic abuse at a prominent South African university. Instead of justice, you’re arrested, thrown in jail, and publicly humiliated. Your professional reputation is shattered, your life is upended, and taxpayers foot the bill for an elaborate operation meant to intimidate and silence you. This is the reality for Sarah Burger, a forensic attorney who exposed corruption at the University of Fort Hare, including allegations against Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane. Sarah’s courage comes at a high cost, not just for her personally but for every South African fighting for accountability in a country plagued by corruption. Watch Sarah’s story here: https://lnkd.in/d9UqwuTW Reflect on how we can stand with whistleblowers like Sarah, who risk everything to uncover the truth. #Whistleblowers #Leadership #Accountability #CorruptionExposed #SouthAfrica #Transparency #OUTA

Around the globe, the negative perception of corruption in public places continue to grow. It’s struggle to retain its place as one of the major causes of poverty is felt. The law on the subject of corruption remains far from clear, however, our criminal justice system at least in theory lays great emphasis on the need for integrity in public life. The Pakistan judiciary has faced various challenges and criticisms, leading some to perceive it as a failed institution. Some reasons include: 1. Political influence and bias 2. Corruption and nepotism 3. Inefficiency and delays in dispensing justice 4. Lack of independence and autonomy 5. Limited access to justice, particularly for marginalized communities 6. Controversial decisions and rulings 7. Failure to hold those in power accountable 8. Perceived leniency towards certain groups or individuals 9. Inadequate resources and infrastructure 10. Criticisms of judicial activism and overreach It's important to note that these issues don't necessarily mean the entire judiciary has failed, but rather that there are significant challenges that need to be addressed to strengthen the institution and ensure effective delivery of justice in Pakistan.

𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 - Online 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 On October 30, 2024, I participated in the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 organized by the Central Vigilance Commission through online mode. This initiative emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens, the government, and the private sector to eradicate corruption and uphold honesty and transparency in all aspects of life. The pledge focused on commitments to maintain integrity, reject corruption, report unethical practices, and contribute to public interest. It was a valuable reminder of the role each individual plays in fostering a corruption-free society. #IntegrityPledge #CentralVigilanceCommission #AntiCorruption #Transparency #OnlineEvent #EthicsAndIntegrity #CorruptionFreeIndia #HonestyMatters

For years, we've seen the credibility of the Nigerian judiciary tainted by numerous allegations of nepotism, politicking, bribery, and corruption. Now, it appears that forgery is about to be added to the list. When those entrusted with upholding justice are themselves shrouded in misconduct and corrupt practices, how can Nigerians trust our judicial officers to deliver meaningful change and hold the government accountable? How many more scandals must we endure before our temple of justice is truly reformed? When will this cycle of impunity end? #JudiciaryMustWorkForNigerians #JudicialIntegrity
