Major global conferences can be intimidating and even overwhelming (but also very productive and enjoyable). Some tactics I've employed and consider effective are: 1. Embrace quality over quantity, I enjoy meaningful conversations vs. a huge stack of business cards and follow-up on anything I committed to; 2. Define event metrics in advance and measure these quickly after the event; 3.
