Consumer-based economy. Indonesia has more than 260 million people. So, producing, importing, and distributing common goods to the populace would easily create a large economy. Unfortunately, our industry is not developed enough, especially heavy industry, IT, naval and aviation, mineral and energy, or any other industry that can generate more money. As a result, our citizens are stuck with the production of common goods and trading. The flourishing businesses in Indonesia might make a big economy thanks to their size, but they don’t generate enough money to go around. The money generated doesn’t add up much when distributed among 260 million people. And hence, I hope Indonesia can take the long, hard road to develop our industries and create some competitive advantage. Fiat sapientia praevalet.

Challenges persist, such as equitable development and regulatory consistency, but the trajectory is promising. Proud of you #Indonesia. 79 are not merely numbers. They are years of spirit to #build, spirit to #thrive, standing over centuries of struggles and sacrifices. I am proud of you, Indonesia. Despite the challenges and headwinds, yet you are shining. Quoting the wikipedia, "... thousands of distinct native ethnic and hundreds of linguistic groups... A shared identity has developed with the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" "Unity in Diversity" literally, "many, yet one", defined by a national language, cultural diversity, religious pluralism.... a history of colonialism and rebellion against it. The economy of Indonesia is the world's 16th-largest by nominal GDP and the 7th-largest by PPP. It is the world's third-largest democracy, a regional power, and is considered a middle power in global affairs. The country is a member of several multilateral organisations. ..." Here my 14-year old pair of jeans is being given a spirited red and white that emblazes courage and purity. For Indonesia. For the spirit and ideas of betterments that I believe in. For family, friends. Indonesia is the world's fourth most populous country and is projected to become the world's fourth-largest economy in a few decades. During his decade in office, the departing president, Joko Widodo, also known as Jokowi, has invested heavily in boosting the country's economy. He has largely succeeded. Jokowi has focused on developing infrastructure, attracting investment, and developing natural resources. Jokowi's vision includes short-term strategies, such as reducing extreme poverty and controlling inflation, and long-term strategies that focus on improving the quality of education and health care and promoting a green economy. However, Indonesia and its 280 million citizens face major challenges in transforming itself from a developing country into a developed country.
