Continuing on from my previous posts about crew salaries we have also seen a large uplift in leave being offered. Increasingly 3:1 is seen as the norm. From my perspective an increase leave is also a substantial payrise for crew too although many don't see it that way. If a crew member goes from a 5:1 to a 3:1 they are now getting 90 days of leave vs 60. So if they earn €3k a month that's €36k a year. On a 5:1 that is a day rate of €118 on a 7 day week. On a 3:1 that is a day rate of €131 on a 7 day week worked. Thats a lift of over 11%. Not a bad payrise... #recruitment #superyachtrecruitment #superyachtindustry #crewagency

The Labour Court found that the airline company had breached the Cabin Agreement by not ensuring appropriate rest time for the employees. "In northern Europe you can see grandfathers, fathers and sons all within the same shipyard; this is currently missing in new emerging industrial nations like China, and without this culture, at the moment quality and experience have to be taught or developed.“ Working Overtime will be like extra family bonding in Europe. They need more working time. Now too much holidays, might increase too much carbon footprint. In new emerging industrial nations like China and Vietnam, we need less overtime, so that can invest time for learning with reasonable income to pay for high quality courses.

Allegations of Rs 28.5 lacs on Anna! Firstly, it’s a shameful act whosoever has started this rumour. Some news article has stated that EY has paid Rs.28.5 lacs to Anna for a period of 4 months as a compensation for her overtime. Completely absurd statement, no Big 4 Indian practice pays any overtime payment to their employees. It is being alleged that amount of Rs.25 lacs has been credited post Anna demise and that’s a life insurance amount. EY has been hiding lots of fact regarding Anna case, whether it is heart attack of Anna at client place or hiding her demise from the last 2 months. Now, they are tampering with her image by spreading this rumour of Rs. 28.5 lacs. All those who are not aware about the pay-scale of EY, they generally pays package between the range of 8-11 lacs to a fresher Chartered Accountant. #justiceforcaaanna #ey
