Reflections on Career Growth, Organizational Support, and the Future with AI Looking back on my career journey, I realize that, like many employees, I initially joined organizations focused on finding a stable job and paycheck. I didn’t start with a clear vision of my long-term goals or a plan to climb the ranks. In fact, I believe this is true for most employees—perhaps 90% of people start a job without a clear career path in mind, while only about 10% have a defined vision for their future work. In my experience, it often takes about three years for employees to gain enough insight into their roles, skills, and potential within a company. During this time, the organization’s support can make all the difference. While employees are responsible for seeking their own growth, I believe companies also have a responsibility to provide guidance and help employees feel valued and trusted. Today, with advancements like AI reshaping industries, organizations have an opportunity—and perhaps an obligation—to introduce employees to AI in a way that’s engaging and builds trust. However, I understand that not everyone feels their organization will offer the support they need to learn and adapt to these changes. Personally, I’d love to hear from others who are in a similar situation—those who are eager to learn new skills like AI but may feel uncertain about their organization’s commitment to helping them grow. Adaptability: The ability to quickly adjust to new situations, technologies and challenges is now a job requirement. 2. Critical Thinking: Analytical skills are needed to assess information, solve problem and make informed decisions. 3. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to convey ideas and build relationships. 4.
