By the end of 2024 Minsk will receive 10 articulated electric buses model E433 of Vitovt series under the supply contract. The unit differs externally from the 2018 delivery not only in lighting technology. There is a separate door for entering the driver's cabin and a climate control system installed. The pantograph has been moved closer to the front axle for more convenient charging connections. Autonomous range is ensured by a supercapacitor-based energy storage system. Charging time from 30 per cent takes up to 15 minutes, with a range of up to 15 km with full weight and working climate control systems in the compartment and driver's cabin. It should be noted that BKM Holding also produces electric buses with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with a range of up to 250 km and plans to introduce a hybrid system in future modifications. Belarus was the first country in the CIS to launch a regular urban route served by electric buses. In 2016, BKM Holding signed its first contract for the supply of electric buses, and already in 2017 20 electric buses E433 Vitovt entered the routes of Minsk city. On 31 May 2019 BKM Holding delivered to Minsk 28 units of E433 Vitovt Max Electro (articulated) and 32 units of E321 (short). Another 9 were delivered in E321 Olgerd body in 2021. Today, 89 electric buses of BKM Holding are already transporting Minsk residents. They can also be found in Zhodino (BelAZ), Gomel, Shklov, Grodno, and outside Belarus BKM Holding electric buses were delivered to cities in Russia (St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara), Georgia (Batumi) and Azerbaijan (Ganja). In total, more than 200 units. BKM Holding (widely known as Belkommunmash) is the leading manufacturer of ground urban electric transport in the CIS countries. The company develops, manufactures and sells, modernises and maintains trolleybuses, trams, electric buses, electric trucks and charging stations. #electrictransport #urbantransport #sustainabletransport #bkmholding #electricbus #cis #belarus #minsk #publictransport #articulatedbus
