Preventing removals is always the main focus, however when that cannot happen and children are sheltered, then Reunification becomes the main focus! #supportparentsinreunification #alwaysreunification #camelotcommunitycareseminolecounty #enhanceprotectivefactors #familiesfirst
June is National Reunification Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the people and efforts across the country that help families stay together. This month honors those who have overcome significant challenges to provide safe and loving homes for their children, allowing them to reunify as a family. As a team dedicated to the well-being of children and families, we understand that foster care aims to offer temporary care for children and adolescents, ensuring their safety and meeting their needs until they can return to their birth parents or other family members. Through our collaborative efforts, we work towards achieving the goal of reunification! Who inspires you? ✨ When I think about HOPE in ACTION, my friend Kelly Hughes comes to mind. Kelly is genuinely one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know. She started Foster Love Project to provide resources to foster children and their ecosystem, spreading hope in the most meaningful ways. The idea for Foster Love Project was born from a deeply personal moment when their first foster placement of three children arrived with just a trash bag full of some dirty belongings. Kelly knew they deserved better. She turned that heartbreaking realization into action, creating an organization that ensures foster children have not just necessities but a sense of dignity and care. What truly stands out about Kelly is her incredible leadership. She had the vision to address a systemic issue and the determination to rally others around it. Kelly’s ability to see the whole picture is inspiring—she doesn’t just focus on the children she fosters, adopts, or parents biologically. She extends her care to their entire ecosystem. She approaches every biological parent, relative, and caregiver with empathy and the belief that they are doing the best they can with the resources they have, and that they, too, deserve love and care. Kelly’s leadership isn’t just about managing a project—it’s about inspiring change and creating a ripple effect of hope and kindness. For me, hope comes alive when I witness people like Kelly creating spaces where everyone feels seen and valued. It’s a reminder of why I do what I do. What keeps your hope alive? How do you share it with others? I’d love to hear your thoughts. #HopeMakers #Inspired #FosterCare #LoveInAction #LeadershipInAction

How do we Honor and Value our elders? It's crucial to acknowledge the impact of isolation on their well-being, as seen in nursing homes. I care for my father, whose life was prolonged by intentionally fostering sources of love. Unfortunately, current accommodations lack comfort and intergenerational activities. The POD aims to address this gap, fostering inclusivity for ALL ages. Join me in supporting a brighter future for humanity by liking and subscribing. Let's start building a more connected community together. https://lnkd.in/eeFAfSHf

Communities are integral to both our personal and professional spheres, providing invaluable support and connection. I'd love to hear about the communities close to your heart! Here are a few that hold immense value for me: 1. My faith community: A source of spiritual nourishment, shared values, and belonging. Being a part of this community has helped me grow in all aspects of my life. 2. Foster family community: Last year my wife and I became foster parents (easily one of the best decisions of our life but I’ll save that for a seperate post.) This is a phenomenal network of support, understanding, sharing resources and advocacy for children. 3. Young Professionals: A platform for networking, growth, and mutual mentorship in the early stages of our careers. What aspects of your communities do you find most enriching? #CommunityConversations #Growth
