Today, on Day 12 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we stand stronger than ever in our fight for a world where respect, dignity, and equality prevail in line with SDGs 5 and 10 that seek to promote Equality and Empowerment against gender biases that undermine our social fabric. As this year's theme reminds us, there is no excuse for GBV and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that survivors are heard, supported, and protected, and that future generations live free from violence. We need not stop at awarenes, let’s take action. GBV hinders the enjoyment of Human rights that are inherent of everyone regardless of ones gender ,therefore, this raises an urgent need for continuous advocacy for stronger policies, challenge of harmful norms, and creation of safe spaces for those affected by Gender Based Violence. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi ," Be the change you wish to see in the world." Change begins with each of us taking strides of self transformation in order to bring about a broader societal change and together, we can create a lasting impact. #PreventProtect #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV
