Lessons Learned from a life of Travel 🌍 Adventure is a core value of our family. Here are a few takeaways from my adventures over 30 years: * Embrace Local Experiences in smaller towns - Don’t just sightsee. Immerse yourself in local culture by trying traditional cuisine and engaging with locals. Locals will happily tell you what’s traditional and what’s for tourists. Find a small town (less than 20k people) away from the cities to enhance your experience. * Time Flies when you’re having fun - Give yourself sufficient time to explore each destination. Rushing through a city or country can lead to missed opportunities and stress. The less you rush, the more fondly you’ll look back on your travel. * Plan Ahead, But Stay Flexible - My wife is one of the best at booking activities in advance, but also loves to schedule every waking minute with excursions. SCHEDULE. FREE. TIME. You will get more out of the trip as a whole if you schedule downtime throughout. This gives you the ability to wander the town, sit down for a croissant at the local Cafe, or stumble upon spontaneous opportunities during your journey. Share some tips from your own travel experiences! #TravelTipTuesday #Travel #Wanderlust
