The next few months should be an interesting study on how this pans out.

According to #JohnCarmack , when he asked for a reading list to be relevant in the #Artificialntelligence space, IIlya Sutskever gave him a list of about 40 research papers and told him: "If you really learn all of these, you’ll know 90% of what matters today." ( https://lnkd.in/gZQSZGCa ) There are several suggested lists for these 30+ authoritative papers: - https://lnkd.in/gBq-mQeE - https://lnkd.in/g59K_Etc - https://lnkd.in/gdG_MDYH - https://lnkd.in/g-c32xE3 If you ever wanted to keep up or at least know the Cliff's Notes of this papers, here's a Google NotebookLM Deep Dive podcast conversation of 1/n of the 30+ papers, "The First Law of Complexodynamics" https://lnkd.in/gjHsSAYb by Scott Aaronson - tell me what you think! NotebookLM Summary: The blog post, “The First Law of Complexodynamics,” by theoretical computer scientist Scott Aaronson explores the idea that the complexity of physical systems first increases with time, then peaks and decreases, in contrast to the entropy of a system which monotonically increases. He explains this phenomenon using Kolmogorov complexity, a way of defining the “entropy” of a single object without reference to an ensemble or coarse-grained structure. Aaronson proposes a definition of “complextropy” based on Kolmogorov complexity which is large for systems in a “weird third category of neither simple nor random.” He argues that this measure could be used to explain the peak in complexity observed in physical systems. In addition, Aaronson uses the mixing of milk and coffee to illustrate the phenomena he is trying to explain. https://lnkd.in/gbw6QKfK
