As a forklift operator, I would prioritize safety above all else. This means conducting pre-operational checks, wearing appropriate safety gear, following designated routes, and communicating effectively with colleagues. Additionally, I would adhere to load capacity limits, maintain proper visibility, and be cautious when approaching corners or intersections. Constant vigilance and adherence to safety protocols are essential for safe forklift operation. #ForkliftSafety #SafetyFirst #WorkplaceSafety #AccidentPrevention #StaySafe #SafetyAwareness

“SAFETY IS A FULL TIME JOB; NOT A PART TIME DUTY” Let’s talk about #process #safety This quote applies here to the traffic individual who unfortunately fell down from the aircraft as well as the for Step movers. Both of them ended up to an unsafe condition due to overlooking safety in some very petty tasks. Though I don’t consider, walking in and out of the aircraft as a task yet he was at job and he had to ensure his safety. I give him 20% contribution to this incident on the basis of Pareto Principle of 80/20. The remaining 80% goes to the Step movers who pulled off the step without checking if someone was using it. It also happened because they were at the blind sight ; not knowing what is happening up there. In all such cases where visibility is an issue then it is always recommended to have a marshaller who give a signal to park or remove the step from the aircraft. The same rule applies for Step truck drivers. The analysis at this stage is what we all have witnessed, but we must also delve into the nitty gritty of ground handling procedures. Here comes the #process #safety Unless admitted by the Step movers that they initiated the process without getting approval from engineering/traffic/ground handling staff, It could also be a possible short coming in the step parking and removing procedure. If the procedure is to take actions on personal judgment then we are not talking about safety here. However, if procedure exists where the step is to be moved away from the aircraft when asked by any of the above mentioned ground staff then we are witnessing a serious #noncompliance issue here. The step should either be moved after getting clearance from cabin door or when the cabin door is closed. This event requires reviewing the #process #safety whilst addressing integration of individual safety and possible safety issues arising as a result of human to human interaction #shell #model Personal safety and process safety must be synched to execute a task or an activity. It comes from creating #safety #awareness among the work force day in day out. We can’t be #more #safer on one day and #less #safer the other day, because #safety is a full time job. So, stay safe for yourself and for others you are looking after; especially the ones waiting for you at home. #personalblog #fb

With the UK's highest first time fix rate, its rare for a Guardsman technician to come back to finish a repair but on the occasions where a new part is needed it will usually be the same technician that carries out the repair. Why is this important? 1. Familiarity for the customer - having a stranger in your home can cause anxiety for some people, so seeing the same face will put them at ease. 2. Familiarity for the technician - they will already know the house layout and be familiar with the furniture item already so can get to work quickly finishing the repair. 3. Saves time and provides consistency - the same technician will be aware of the claim and what is needed, will know where the house is located and will be aware of any special requirements that the customer may have. 4. Guardsman technician's have set territories which allows them to also build a relationship with the retail partners in their area and provide support to them for any in-store warranty repairs For consistent, quality repairs why not get in touch with our Head of Sales Zeyn Kassam to find out about how we can help. . . . #buildingrelationships #firstvisitfix #highestrateintheindustry #industryleaders #weknowhow #weworkinpartnership #ourtechsarethebest #bestofthebest #strongnetwork #guardsmanteam #workwithus #partnershipapproach #furniturerepair #consistency #consistentrepairs #warrantyrepairs #takingcareofcustomers

Spotters are essential on any job site where a vehicle or piece of equipment backs up or travels in a congested/hazardous area. When an operator has an obstructed or limited view of the travel path, spotters direct them safely through. Find spotter best practices and safety measures your team should take in these situations. ⬇️ #safetyfirst #safetymatters

Mitigating Risk of Incidents/Accidents :By placing safety locks, the risk of incidents or accidents, such as someone attempting to exit the aircraft or ground equipment colliding with the aircraft doors, is significantly reduced or even falls from height. Ensuring safety locks are engaged before removing the stairs fosters better coordination among ground staff and cabin crew. It serves as a clear signal that the aircraft is in a secure state and that it is safe to proceed with the removal of boarding equipment Implementing these safety measures creates a controlled environment that prioritizes the well-being of everyone involved in the boarding and deplaning process. I given percentage % / 60% cabin crew and 40% step movers
