To affect meaningful change in construction, Professor Middleton advocates, “Underpinning everything is how we procure construction. And by procurement, I don’t just mean what contract you use but the wider context of how we approach planning of construction projects: how we procure them, how the design is incorporated, how we get contractors involved.
What we’re trying to do now is find those exemplars around the world of where things have really worked. We want to go and measure them, show those outcomes, and bring them to policymakers to give them the encouragement to just do it.”
At Prolectric our number one goal is to create products that enable businesses to move away from fossil fuels through data-driven decision making.
We are industry disruptors! Consider our pioneering ProLight Solar Tower Light and our award-winning ProPower Solar Hybrid Generators - both have revolutionised the industry.
However, the adoption rate has not met expectations. Additionally, the emergence of competitor copies has diluted the market, as many do not fully understand solar technology and offer inferior products, leading to increased skepticism among buyers.
The enablers discussed in this article - digital engineering, manufacturing, whole-life performance, procurement, and skills - are integral to our processes and the reason our products can genuinely be considered sustainable.
Leave it to the experts and see for yourself why are products remain superior.
