Labuan-regulated FX/CFDs brokers can now only offer currency instruments. The Malaysian regulator has tightened the licensing rules for all locally regulated money brokers, the default authorisation for FX and CFDs brokers. Some updated conditions: 1. FX/CFDs brokers can only offer spot FX, CFDs on FX. They cannot offer non-currency instruments like CFDs on shares, ETFs, or commodities. 2. Leverage of cryptocurrency CFDs will be limited to 1:1. 3. Regulatory paid-up capital for local Money Brokers will be doubled to RM 1.5 million.
