In observance of Pride Month, our employee resource group OPEN connected our employees through programming centered around the theme, "All Together with Pride," shining light on the collective strength and unity within our community. This month, we hosted an LGBTQIA+ Allyship 101 seminar, a "Pride Block Party" and welcomed Orion Rummler, LGBTQIA+ reporter at The 19th, Casey Pick, director of law and policy at The Trevor Project, and Kellen MacBeth, PMP, president at Equality Arlington for an engaging panel discussion designed to shed light on the intersection of LGBTQIA+ rights. As we celebrate Pride month, meet Dax Ellison, Jr.. Since joining us, Dax has become instrumental in our sales team's success and an invaluable member of our community! When asked what motivates him at work, Dax shared, "My clients motivate me. I enjoy having clients across the DMV area where I can quickly catch up with them over breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It shows we're human." Learn more about Dax and stay tuned for more features celebrating our employees!

Pride Month is a time to celebrate and uplift members of the LGBTQ+ community. At Bloomberg Industry Group, we encourage you to bring your authentic selves, open minds, and unique perspectives to work every day. This year, OPEN, our employee community supporting the LGBTQ+ community and allies, curated events and programming to educate, uplift, and inspire our community under the theme 'All Together with Pride.' The month's activations provided education, entertainment, activism, and community support, beginning with a pride block party where we kicked things off with a vibrant celebration on the patio of our office. Thank you to our OPEN co-chairs, Malachi Hammonds, Sam Racine, Jeremie Herpson, Khorri A. Atkinson, and Antonio Thomas, and executive influencer Hyun-Seuk Khang for all their hard work!

Throughout Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, PACT connected our employee community and empowered its members through storytelling, cultural events, and conversations on the AAPI experience. This month, we welcomed restaurateur Patrice Cleary, networked over chai and Vietnamese coffee, watched Spirited Away, and hosted Washington, D.C.'s only all-women Dabke troupe for an interactive and lively performance. To cap off the month, meet Engagement and Philanthropy Partner Krishna Najjar! Since joining us last year, Krishna has played a crucial role in cultivating our culture as the organizer of our philanthropic and community engagement initiatives. When asked what motivates him at work, Krishna said, "I am in a unique position to support our community and nonprofit partners. Having a role like no other that supports all realms of diversity, culture, and philanthropy rewards me every day, and that is more motivation than anything else." Learn more about Krishna and stay tuned for more features of leaders within our community!

Storytelling has the power of connection and inspiration. Under the theme of connection through storytelling, we are amplifying voices from our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month. The theme, curated by PACT, our employee community in support of Asian, Middle Eastern, and Pacific Islander employees, was created to celebrate lived experiences and honor the many facets of pan-Asian heritage. To mark the beginning of the month, PACT hosted a Storytelling Roundtable. This event featured Patrice Cleary, the founder of the award-winning restaurant Purple Patch, and the newly opened Joia Burger. Here, she broke bread with our employees and shared her personal and professional journey as an Asian American, emphasizing the importance of finding community in both aspects of life. Thank you to our PACT Co-Chairs, Jennifer Hijazi, Ashley Koo, Fatima Pervaiz, Esq., LL.M in Taxation, and Vin Pineda, for making our AAPI Heritage Month programming possible!

Our office was paid a visit by eight rescue dogs from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, a volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals. During lunch, employees stopped by to play and help socialize puppies and young dogs seeking forever homes, learn more about the nonprofit, and ask for more information about how to adopt their own furry friend. So far, three people have submitted adoption applications!

This Earth Day, we partnered with Mary's Center to paint planters and pot succulents for members of their senior center community. Organizations like Mary's Center enrich our community and brighten the lives of its participants, and we couldn't be happier to support it and spruce up the gardens of members of their community with fresh greenery!

Our annual employee communities fair was a vibrant showcase of the diverse perspectives that define our culture and reflect our values and aspirations. Whether it was teaching American Sign Language, asking 90s R&B trivia, or playing on a mini soccer field, members of our employee communities engaged with coworkers through fun activities and meaningful conversations about how their group empowers one another and strengthens our organization. Thank you to all who attended and a special thanks to the members of BLK, WOMXN, PACT, SALUTE, V!VA, CARE, B-ABLE, OPEN, and THRIVE, for spreading messages of inclusion throughout our office and beyond!
