Just wrapped up an incredible leadership retreat with the Fireclay Tile Leadership team in Half Moon Bay and feeling stoked! Over the course of three days, Jamie Chappell Caitlyn Child Annie Acheatel Dave Meagher Sal Cuellar Quezada and I aligned on strategy, deepened our connection, and set the stage for our next phase of growth. Here’s what made our offsite not just productive but truly transformative: - Detailed Agenda with Prework: The Agenda was shared 3 weeks early and had clear prework for us all including reading Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy, PhD's "10x is Easier than 2x." - Great location and food: We rented an AirB&B and hired a private chef for our first dinner. We also then divided cooking responsibilities throughout our time together so that everyone played a role. - Time for Personal Connection: We started with a Life Walk exercise that allowed us all an opportunity to share the highs and lows, creating trust and deepenig the relationship. - Focused on "The One Thing": Our newest Leadership teammate, Dave, challenged us all to focus on the One Thing that matters more than anything. In the spirit of 10x is Easier than 2x, we spent a lot of time on this, allowing different folks to lead sessions that focused on people, process, success, and key initiatives. The only thing missing was our awesome VP People Laura who was unable to join us!
