Every player, how ever great they may be, need to start from zero in every match. Century made today is celebrated that evening and forgotten by morning. The next match once again starts from zero score. Centuries made yesterday, don't win us matches today ! Similarly, in business every challenge resets our score to zero. We need to start from scratch, play the game and make that century. Yesterday's laurels have no meaning today. We earn our bread everyday. I have seen so many professionals live in the past. Past laurels and past success stories. Living in the past does not do anything good to anyone. Wake up. Smell some coffee. Take every work day, every challenge as a new start to life.

The other day, I was reminded of a Latin phrase I may have first come across during my school days: omnia mea mecum porto. It translates to "All that is mine, I carry with me." I believe it offers a timeless lesson for #careerdevelopment. Let me explain: In our careers, it’s easy to get caught up chasing titles, awards, or external recognition. But these things are fleeting. What truly defines us—all that is ours: our knowledge, skills, values, and, above all, our most enduring currency, our character—can never be taken away. These represent the 'portable wealth' we bring to every role and opportunity. Throughout my own journey, I’ve come to realize that while external achievements can open doors, it’s the internal toolkit I’ve built—curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to keep learning—that has kept me moving forward. As we step into another year of professional growth, why don't you reflect on this: What are you carrying with you? How can you invest in yourself so that, no matter where life takes you next, you're prepared?
