What's more fun than a speed dating event? A speed dating event featuring HR leaders and professionals! (Tbh, we're not entirely sure that's a fair statement to make but we're trying to convince you to come to our event so just roll with it) Next week on Wednesday 6th March (new date), we have our first Speed Dating event for the year. It's free and it's for anyone who is in HR, HR-adjacent, in people-leadership or any sort of job where you are facing people-related challenges and questions. So what does a Speed Dating event for HR folks look like? 👍 You come to the event early and meet some people, eat our snacks and have some drinks 👍 We'll then guide you to think of something you're curious about, struggling with, need some more perspectives on 👍 You'll then meet with each of the other attendees for a few minutes at a time, share the situation you've got and get their input (usually in the form of questions to help you find your own solution) 👍 You'll then switch round and give the other people some things to think about 👍 We'll keep doing that for as long as it makes sense and we have time 👍 We'll then wrap up with some insights and then some more networking if you want It's a really great way to practice asking questions, to share insights, to get some perspectives that you may never have thought of. Because HR can be lonely and peer input is gold. So sign up today and we'll see you in a couple of weeks! https://lnkd.in/gTddsaum?

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 I’m thrilled to share that I have joined the ACCES Employment HR Connections Program! 🎉 Today marks the end of week one. This program is a fantastic opportunity for me to deepen my understanding of Human Resources and connect with industry professionals. As I embark on this journey, I’m eager to learn more about talent management, employee engagement, and strategic HR practices. I can’t wait to share insights and experiences as I progress through the program. Looking forward to learn a lot more from Michelle Hagan,Michelle Allen, CHRP, CHRL and Aditika Mangalik . Here are my KEY learnings from week 1 - 1) The importance of having a crisp Elevator pitch. We often only get one chance to make an impression and a concise elevator pitch is the way to grab attention. 2) Networking is EVERYTHING. I realised how networking can open doors to a world of opportunities. 3) The value of Small Talk. The purpose of small talk is to see if the other person is open to engage. It also serves as a means to bond. Small talk may seem trivial but it helps build connections. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. I will be posting my key learnings for the coming weeks as well, so stay tuned :) #humanresources #recruitment #accesemplyoment

“We are the next generation of HR, and we aim to effect change. We want to do more than just be HR people. We want to create a positive impact on people's lives”. Meet Linh Grethe, the founder of HR Collective — a community where passion meets purpose, and the future of work becomes cooler. In a Community Talk with Maria Bakatsiuk, founder of Maramio, she shared insights about the challenges behind the scenes, the non-traditional approach to community building, and the power of good karma. Here are a few takeaways from the interview: — We are more than just a social club. We are an HR and recruiting education platform with events, conferences, webinars, and a lot of content. — I believe that building genuine connections is key. Focus on doing good, putting good vibes out there, and the good karma will come back to you tenfold. — Don't overthink it, just jump in and get started. Think of yourself as a North Star. With a strong sense of purpose, it's easier to attract and retain members. Just do it, and do it with passion and vision. Check the full version in our blog [find link in the comments!]
