It’s World Mental Health Day! It's so important for us to normalize conversations about mental health and promote resources for those in need. I am very proud of @Phreesia Life Sciences and the work we are doing with @Ad Council to encourage more open conversations about mental health. See the results: https://bit.ly/3Y2L3QD
Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. According to the CDC, more than 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. live with a mental illness and mental health concerns are on the rise among youth. Those struggling with their mental health don’t always know how to ask for support or know where to find helpful resources. That’s why Phreesia and Ad Council have partnered to deliver mental health information and resources to patients at the point of care across three separate campaigns. Initial findings indicate that these messages have influenced individuals who viewed the campaign to search for additional information or talk about mental health with their doctor, family, or friends. Phreesia is proud to use our platform to encourage patients to take steps toward improving mental health. Today is World Mental Health Day — a day to raise awareness of mental health issues & acknowledge mental health as a basic human right. Data from the last few years shows that youth are one of the groups most negatively impacted by the pandemic, with damaging effects to their mental health. Our Foundation is actively investing in mental health promotion strategies to allow youth to thrive. Learn more about our work: https://ow.ly/Xpg250TByTI

“The data are a reminder of how the mental health crisis in America affects families as well as individuals, magnifying its impact, expanding the policies and services needed to address it, and changing the way we need to think about the problem,” writes KFF President and CEO Drew Altman. A huge thanks to everyone who attended live / registered to receive the recording of last week's 'Naked Truth About The Mind' event in support of Mental Health Awareness. Thanks also to the amazing Wendy Harris who kindly volunteered to support and facilitate the Q&A last week - who could be better qualified? 🤔 Although MHA week is officially over, I'm running the second planned 'Naked Truth' event next Wednesday. It's free, what I'll cover is both profound and liberating, all are welcome. and details and registration are here. https://lnkd.in/e2SXK7ME Wherever you are now, whatever you may have been through I can assure you that mental suffering is not necessary and that you can have whatever it is you want. Considering our entire life experience is mental, it's incredible we're not formally educated on the mind and that mental health awareness is condensed into a single week of the year. 😳

🗣 “Support for young people must be diverse and adaptable, acknowledging that mental health isn’t a linear progression but a spectrum requiring tailored interventions. Achieving this requires unified efforts across statutory and voluntary services, bolstered by increased recruitment and training of mental health professionals.” This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, hear from Brook’s Chief Executive, Helen Marshall, in Children & Young People Now's latest article about young people’s mental health and support. https://lnkd.in/euPBnP4X
