UK CAA recently shared Safety Notice - SN–2024/008 emphasising aircraft registration markings and Air Navigation Order (ANO) requirements. Our recent BCAR training course explored the ANO, essential for all UK aviation professionals. As a BCAR Section L multi 'X' & 'R' engineer pre-EASA, understanding of the ANO was crucial, tested by CAA during the oral exam. There is a gap in the UK where current licensed personnel are not aware of the ANO and its relevance. #UKCAA #AviationSafety #AirLegislation

Very interesting to see that EASA may be addressing the LOC-I/UPRT challenge in General Aviation. Let's hope that the CAA follow suit. EASA Pro - search Upset Prevention Recovery Training (Link won't post) UPRT, as introduced into Part-FCL with amending Regulation (EU) 2018/1974, is not applicable to LAPL or PPL training. However, to address the fact that loss of control in-flight is still a major issue in general aviation, the requirements and associated AMC applicable to training flights for revalidation of SEP and TMG class ratings/privileges are planned to be revised to outline the necessity for these training flights to cover emergency procedures (such as different stall scenarios). #flightsafety #uprt #flightsafetyschool #upsetpreventionrecoverytraining

The UK CAA has released CAP 3037 (V1) - Part 145 Guidance, focusing on developing a comprehensive receiving and inspection system for aircraft parts and materials. This guidance not only enhances the UK aviation industry's performance but also aids in managing organisational risks effectively. Organisations can utilise this document to conduct audits, thereby improving existing systems and identifying potential gaps. Even if you are not a UK CAA approved Part 145 organisation, such as an EASA or FAA Repair Station, this guidance can still elevate aviation safety standards across the board. #UKCAA #AviationSafety #OrganisationalRisks #Part145Guidance #bluealtitude #easa #faa

Here is some Halloween and #flyingfridays humor. A great costume choice for any of you aspiring aviators 👨✈️ ... FAA Part 141 Flight Instructor 😎 😂 . The crippling debt is free for those of you who know how much money it takes to finally get your ATP 😏 . Sunglasses are also extra 😎 . Pilots often instruct for several reasons" 1) They can earn money to help offset the costs for their next level licenses and training. 2) Instruction hours in the air can also count towards your 1500 FAA hours. 3) Instruction as a CFI is super fun 💯 💡 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-certificated pilot schools are regulated in accordance with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 141. Unlike pilot training conducted under 14 CFR part 61, part 141 pilot schools are required to use: - a structured training program and syllabus. Part 141 pilot schools may be able to provide a greater variety of training aids and require dedicated training facilities, flight instructor oversight, and FAA-approved course curricula. Colleges and universities, which may offer aviation degrees, often provide pilot training under part 141. #immigration #globalmobility #pilots #aviation #greencard #cfi #faa #atpl

Basic rules of setting SSR Codes. Bellow are listed so called "non-discrete" codes which help every pilot in day to day situations whether he/she is an experienced pilot or at the starting point of his/hers career. Correct setting of SSR codes can also help Air traffic controllers to better understand and communicate between each other and can prevent possible errors. Codes 7500, 7600 and 7700 are reserved internationally and are regulated by International Civil Aviation Organization Doc. 4444. Underlined codes 2000 and 7000, are recognized in the European Union trough SERA.13005 by EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency. #atc101 #ssr #squawk #eurocontrol #aviationdaily

Great EASA quote on the challenges the industry faces from a human resource aspect! I hope they really mean it and that operators get the hint… The industry needs diverse talent and needs to actively foster an environment where the human can strive with purpose!
