3wInsightful but I would say this is partially accurate. I have personal experience with a hospital taking over my doc's practice. Still get the same doc and he is excellent and caring. But because the hospital system is owned by a hedge fund, the docs are pressured to drive more revenue, taking less time with the patient. So I would say that these takeovers actually drive practice changes.
