Reduce your Microsoft Licensing Cost Managing Microsoft licensing costs is crucial for maintaining a healthy bottom line. Here are essential tips to help you optimize and reduce your Microsoft licensing expenses: Open Your Eyes to Visibility: Lack of visibility into license counts, usage, and associated expenses can lead to unnecessary costs. Optimize, Don’t Overspend: Avoid buying licenses as a knee-jerk reaction. Mitigate Unforeseen Expenses: Over-licensing issues often arise during annual true-up processes or Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) renewals. Identify and Eliminate Bad Practices: Basic license management systems may not reveal over-provisioned users or practices that incur additional costs. Eliminate Over Provisioning and Right-Size Entitlements: Assign licenses based on actual needs. Actively Upgrade or Downgrade Licenses: Ensure users fully utilize their licenses. Remember, effective management and optimization of Microsoft licenses can significantly impact your organization’s financial health and overall efficiency. This is a significant change in Microsoft licensing and it will impact all Level A EA customers. Michael Maryo is the best there is in helping you navigate your options.
Microsoft officially is announcing changes coming to Enterprise Agreements, basically eliminating the ability to renew Level A agreements (up to 2400 users). It's been rumored for awhile and details are still coming, but CRN just released an article confirming what we've been hearing for awhile. Thanks to Ron Herd for alerting me to the article an hour and a half after it was announced. If you have a Level A Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft and want to know how this impacts you and how to prepare for these changes, reach out and schedule some time with me! https://lnkd.in/ge3tDJmC

I am proud to confirm that today Parablu Inc. was acquired by CrashPlan. This is one of those deals where the complimentary aspects provide immediate benefit for our customers and partners. CrashPlan, with its' scale and reach has been a standard-bearer in the endpoint backup space for years and immediatley gains from Parablu's Microsoft partnership/experience and especially Parablu's Microsoft Azure - centric solution with key differentiation, not the least of which is cyber-resiliency for Microsoft 365 and the data surrounding M365 (Servers, Databases & Endpoints). Both CrashPlan and Parablu have a high commitment for listening to customers needs while delivering differentiated SaaS-first solutions. Our joint vision and belief in SaaS-FIRST focus also seems to be unique in the industry as a majority of ISV's in this space still focus with an on-premise-first mindset. For me personally, this is an exciting time, but I have to admit a sense of deja-vu when a former AT&T entity went all-in on Microsoft :). Some people have heard me mention; "Imagine if you went back to high school or college - only knowing what you know now". Hmmmmm.
